Maps have to be exported with V3, and we do have a v3 plugin for newer maxes so...
I use a combo of max 2009(when i have to make shadowmapped tracks) and max 5 to make maps, the first for v3 meshes and the second for v4, render, meshes(windows, boards etc). Amil, you wouldnt really need a setvelocity, i think most of the job could be done using 3 cfgs, one with a sphere, one with a cylinder and one with a cube(meshes), and then using the scalemesh line and a simple animation that gives the speed(which, as well as the scalemesh, could be made a float, and set tru a slider), and then you just know the distance between camera and car, so a bit of math should just solve the problem with the distance of the animation... well, it is surely not an easy task, but i think it could work this way. |
