That was one hell of a night indeed my man! Thanks for the nice coverage. ;) The Subaru was just unbelievable, i don't think even my R32 could keep up with it because of all the weight reduction! However Ben's R33 used to have a way more powerful engine setup so who knows...

Before all that madness though, i still had to pick the guys up at the airport in Dallas. It's been a while since i've last seen them (but actually not that long considering they're all the way from Japan and Korea) so i wanted to give them a proper welcome. That said, i dropped by the local used car dealer to get a temporary plate for the 997 since it's not completely ready for the road yet. I still have some changes in mind but i also wanna drive it and get used to it, it's a whole different kind of machine compared to the other ones.

Going from Ardmore to Dallas, i drove on the very same highway that we raced on today! Not that fast though, obviously. :P Still, it's very capable on the highway, a Carrera S can reach almost 200 mph!

After around 60 more miles of highway i got to Dallas. I've been there a few times so fortunately i had no problem navigating through the city and going to the airport. Its parking lot, however, was a bit of a hassle, i probably did a few laps around it to find a free spot lol.

Eventually i found a bit less occupied part of the lot and waited for Yuan and Soju since i didn't know their exact time of arrival.

Anywhere i go, i always look around for any nice cars to keep the trip interesting! I had high hopes on the airport here but there wasn't really much to see, apart from a few high-end sedans. Understandable, since they have to put their luggage somewhere, right? :))

That got me wondering if i should get myself something more practical for once, and this Tesla here would actually be a great choice because i couldn't really make any crazy mods to it. But then again, i'd miss shifting gears and engine sounds, even if it's a daily it must be fun to drive for me! Well the accelerations it's capable of would surely be fun in a way, so i might consider it one day.

I had nothing to do for a while so i did a bit of a photoshoot, even if the 911 is not done yet at all.

Finally, i got a call from Smoke telling me that him and Soju have landed. So i headed out to the terminal to meet them, then followed a wave of hugs and brofists. We had a few snacks and drinks at the nearby shop and while going back to the car we got lost a bit. Well, the airport itself is just huge so it can be hard to keep track where you're going. When we managed to get back i jokingly opened the trunk to get the luggage in there, because, y'know, it's a Porsche. :)) Then i noticed that the wing almost hit the rear window but if it was made for the GT3s, of course that wouldn't happen. We had a look at the engine too, not much to see apart from the aftermarket exhaust but i guess its stock engine is quite impressive already. Anyway, we all managed to get in, Soju being in the back seat because they don't call Edo "Big Smoke" for nothing. :P Well Soju told me he's used to small back seats anyway.

They were really excited about the 911, i knew it would be a nice surprise! :D So i drove around downtown Dallas for a while, turning quite a few heads. Well it sounds really aggressive, maybe even too loud for the city streets haha. Or maybe it was all the mismatched parts, i believe seeing a 911 driving in this state is pretty much impossible since 911s are usually modified only by professionals!

Despite not being completely the way i want yet, i love it so much already. It drives like a proper supercar! Like i've said a few times, however, it just lacks a bit of power to be called that. On the way back we had a whole lot of stuff to talk about, mostly the recent drift event at Ebisu they both attended, together with some more friends. Soju was really happy he could borrow my S14, after all it used to be his so i was also happy for him to have a beautiful nostalgic experience. They were both getting a bit sleepy when we got back to Oklahoma, they must've been really exhausted from all the shenanigans in Japan and then flying over here.

Also check Soju's and Big Smoke's thread to stay updated about their trip! :)
