Huh it was a long week, but thanks to my friends we pulled of some serious work

As you all know in the last week we had 3 arrivals, 2 of those 3 arrivals were my best mates @SoJu and @BigSmoke.
The 3rd arrival was a Salvage title, crashed 2004 Honda S2K with ~190k km on the clock.....


The next morning after the purchase we had a breakfast in a nearby family restoraunt (cause none of us knows to cook xD), I had a nice morning cup of coffee cause I actualy don't do breakfasts, Ziga had some croissants, SoJu decided to go with a sweet breakfast like Ziga so he ordered some cakes and a cup of tea, meanwhile Biggie made it up for all of us... He ordered a double Egg Omlet, 5 pancakes, large coke and a cup of coffee (Its more expencive to feed Biggie then to fuel my aventador hehehehe).

While smoking, Biggie looked at me and asked me the plans for that day, I told him that I need a place to store the S2K untill we finish the G35 cause it is our SEMA build and the SEMA dates are fixed we can not move them so S2K goes to the storage, and also two guys can't build 2 cars at the same time with that amount of work left to be done to the G35........

SoJu and Biggie then told us : "Hey, you got two of your best friends here and you don't wanna ask us for help, hell no we are gonna help you to finish the S2K and then we will jump on the G35"

Ziga said, that we need to do an assessment of the damage on the car and then decide when we can start working on it.

We finished the breakfast went out and I said to the guys : "Here is the deal, I will take SoJu with me in the Aventador and we will go and look for a garage to rent, you two go get the S2K loaded on the trailer and wait for us to call you".....


Me and SoJu found a ex-mechanic garage that we rented for 10 days and it was 8 miles away from our shop but it was ok cause the rent was low so we took it, called Ziga and Biggie to bring the S2K to the address that we texted them......

We stripped down the car in that day and found everything that was damaged and here is the full list (Note all the damage is on the right side of the car) :

Control arm
Tie rod
Axel
Shock absorber
Spring
Stabilizer
All bushings
Brake lines
Brake disc
Front bumper mounts
Hood latch
Front shock absrobers don't look promising

Day #2

After a good night of sleep, we went back to work, this time me and SoJu took the car to Media blaster and Ziga with Biggie was left in the shop to follow my shopping list that I made them.
Ah I forgot to mention to you guys, we decided to do the body work first and then start playing with all of the suspenssion components.


The media blaster had finished blasting the car while me and SoJu had lunch, we went back picked it up and paid V$500 for the blasting........

In the meanwhile Ziga and Edo instead to use the internet they searched Junk yards across our living area and they managed to find most of the items from the list but some of the items they had to buy from EBay......

We had luck that the crash took most of the damage to the suspension components and not so much to the body, but there was a huge amount of non expected rust in the front part of the car which drasticly damaged the stability and rigidity of the front end, so we ended up buying a bit of metal piping to reinforce all the damage there.

On day 3 I kicked all 3 of them from the garage, told them not to be disturbed in the next couple days.......


Day #6

S2K Body is finished.....

Whoops I went way ahead there lol, on day #4 I towed the S2K to da body shop and used their booth to paint the S2K, towed the car back to the garage on Day #5 and left the guys with the car to install the old interior in to the car while I painted all the body parts.

The front end rust that I told you about destroyed 60% metal on the front so we bought a bit of sheet metal and metal piping and started fabricating a tubilar structure in there, and we got a strut bar as well to keep things tight.....


And here are all the new body part additions that I made a list for Ziga


Varis side skirt blades, varis side skirt extensions, varis rear diffuser and they are all out of carbon fiber (according to the EBay add) those parts costed us V$750, then comes the AP1 Euro tail lights which I traded for my genuine AP1 Stockies, Edo and SoJu opened the headlights and replaced the amber indicator glass with a clear one for V$25.
If you look at the front bumper it looks normal due to Ziga and me making new bumper mounts and we also repaired the hood latch so now everything on the front is evenly gaped, aslo if you look at the bottom of the bumper you can see the AP1 lip that they found on a junk yard for V$75 and last but not least they got me a trunk lip spoiler and AP2 muffler for V$350 from another junk yard.....

The car has apsolutly no suspension parts on it, and the engine is sitting in the side of the shop. The engine will go back in tomorrow and then I will hand the project in to SoJu's hands for the runing gear cause he is more professional then me for what we are about to do.....

Now finaly I can take some rest, in the past 4 days I slept 10h.......


Arrived at the house, took a shower and was about to kiss my bed when I got a phone call from Edo asking me to borrow the R33 keys and go for a drive and I told him : "When you open the key control box 1st key on the left middle row is the key take it and come pick me up from the house" cause I knew that they would not let me to sleep hehe.....

5 Minutes later phone ringing again ...... ~Incoming call EDO~,
"Yea bro, whats up......."
"Hey Beny the key you told me to take is the Aventador key"
"Just come and pick me up will you please"

10 Minutes later I am smoking in front of the house when I hear the bull comming.
I entered the car and told Edo take me to the shop ASAP step on it.....

Edo smiled like a baby while flooring the Aventador and all the way to the shop he repeated the same sentence : "I can not F****ng belive"

We arrived at the shop, I went to the key control box took the R33 keys and said SoJu you go with Edo in the Aventador and now you will drive it, Ziga you are comming with me......


I took the guys for a nice afternoon at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit again.


I did couple laps in the R33 to try the new setup properly, then I stopped for a brake and to check the tire pressure on the R33


We had a great time at the track, Edo and SoJu enjoyed them self AF and then I wanned to heat up the friendship a little bit.....

I told them : "Edo and SoJu both of you will do a 2 lap race in the Aventador against Ziga in the R33 and I will just watch your driving :D"


So we went off and the first lap we could clearly see how fast the Aventador realy is, the R33 was and still is fast but that thing is another way of fast, you don't do any sacrifises in it to go 300km/h like you would in the R33 or my old R34 but it was lovely to see them go full out on the track....


Sadly due to me beeing way to tired from the S2K work, I fall a sleep on the big straight in the 2nd lap and I overslept the 2nd race as well....
When we arrived home Ziga woke me up and said, "I tried my best to beat those 2 and not to wake you up at the same time. Thank you for all the fun we had today."

Ziga will let you know who won cause I was busy sleeping hehhe
