@Noi5eBomb: You must not have seen many connecting rods in your lifetime. Some are plain like that. Most have some sort of recessed areas that are machined, cast, or forged in to strengthen the rod, but I have seen some with nothing. Besides, it's a WIP, remember? So he's probably not done with them. ;)
