Copypasted from FB.

Long story short. In 1998 my parents bought this bike to my brother for his class advancement(from secondary school to high school), after some years he has stopped using it so became somehow mine.
I ever used it till one day that i started having healt problems and had to do hospital-home for 1 year and 6 months so the bike started rusting(since it was in my garden). I leaved it that way till one year ago that i finally started working on it.

I started removing every part and trying to clean a bit from rust.

Had some problems with the seatpost, it was rusted as f* so was like welded togheter with the frame.

After some hard work i leaved around the 50% of it(nowadays there is no sign of its presence), then when i saw that parts was too expensive, i leaved the frame inside my workshop waiting the right moment to restart it.

Finally had the money to buy parts, i started again sanding the body, but that way i would have needed months to make it properly, so i decided to get it from the nearest sanding company.

Just few hours after sanding, those bitches did a crap of work, it looked like shot-peened so i had to do the work i tried to not do to remove the paint from it... -.-" one week or so with sand paper till i got it smooth as a baby ass. :D

Finally some epoxy paint, i did it in two times, basicly i gived one layer of paint, sanded with uberfine paper then another layer. You can also see my custom horn handlebar in that box behind frame.

First hand of primer filler.

Sanded to make it smoother.

Detail of the sanding work.

Second hand of primer filler(next will be the actual paint).

Finally my groupset(transmission) and brakes arrived!! :D It is the whole shimano acera matte black set. B)

I ordered my fork, a suntour xct v2, after a week it has been delivered in my workshop and i was like :/ "this is not an xct v2" then i watched on the box and big surprise, they sent me an xct v3(bigger stanchions and compatible with lockout).

Random pic of the fork.

Comparison between old and new.

Got the last package with pedals(alluminium monoblock by wellgo), stem, stem adaptor, headset(ahead canecreek) and tools for BB(for nubz, bottom braket, is the bearing group for crankset) and cassette everything sold branded as xlc(that actually dont produce a single crap, only rebrand stuff from pro makers).

All the stuff togheter.

A model i did to have an idea about the pj, i will keep only the little shimano write on the rear fork.

Today i bought paint. :awesome:

Opposite than how the paint shop guy said me the past time, they didnt know the right mix to make lamborghini giallo orion, so i had to be happy with a lotus yellow pearl(base metallic color + 2 transparent metallic layers :D ). Only problem was price, way too damn high. :(

I also did some job on the handlebar horn, i had to sand it again(with sandpaper) and give some epoxy primer. Next to do on it will be sand it with fine paper(1200), put some thin layer of filler and paint matte black.

Next steps are:
- Brake cables(with sheath and nipples)
- Seatpost
- Seatpost lock
- Seat
- Wheels
- Handlebar rubber
not necessarily in this order.

Tomorrow morning i will start painting :3
