# Dopey_1974 : Nice Jaz, is that the new exhaust? and ? is it roarrrrrrrrrrring ? :P

full stock exhaust but the thing makes enough noise once fully opened, dont worry :P

i drove it last saturday and drove it in second to the rev limiter, its better to have a stock exhaust cuz that way you will hear the engine more, and attract less police attention, espeically around amsterdam etc. :D

Got my C33 Laurel, put my 17x9 front and 17x10 DTM Drifts (basically a TE37 knock off)on it, will try clean and post pics tomorrow, but it sits sick with some nice poke xD

Added 1 day later:

Here's a pic, took more but nets capped so hard to upload :S

Going to pump the guards and install my adjustable coilovers so I can drop it another inch all round, has choppies in it atm. Then going to repaint it.

Thanks guys, and Franco, those hood emblems are hard to find not broken on these Laurels, plus they are part of the signature of the car, and I like it xD I do want to make some kind of custom one though :D

Oh I put my adjustables in tonight, has more negative camber at front and about 1/2 inch lower, tyres tuck in the guards just nice at the front, tomorrow maybe chop rear springs to lower 1/2 inch at rear and she should sit just how I want, then on to paint. I'll post pics, too dark now for photo's though.

Also I'm stuck for a paint scheme, I'm thinking two tone with the roof black, but unsure of main colour. Nothing extreme like flouro's, but gimme some ideas people :) I'm open to painting the rims too, just again, not flouro's :p

Added 57 minutes later:

Here's some more of yesterdays photo's I couldn't upload before, will take and post the new ones in a couple of days.

Nice gas-guzzlers Mike, lovin' the Impala even though it's not my kind of car!

Update on the french crapbox, someone rear ended me so I fixed the rear, fitted a Mk1 VTS spoiler, polished the thing and retouched all the little paint chips it had. Finished product:

# decl00ne : nice rides, but didnt u degrade from the clio in to the saxo?
Clio wasn't really my kind of car. I tried several setups on it, best one which was how I sold it turned out to be H&R Coilovers, -4cm drop with 2º negative camber on front, but it still was too understeery even though it was really easy to drive fast.
Saxo is a completely different story, if you get understeer you lift off the gas and the arse sticks out making it sometimes a bit unpredictable, but endless fun and far more effective. (Also no ABS, ESP or that shiz). It needs a few mods, but once you get 'em done it's actually faster than the 182 in the roads that I frequently mess around on.

The Impala gets good gas mileage )10-17) and has over 500 HP and the Truck.... well that is a different story it's gas mileage is crap cause its lifted really and the tires are race tire spec, the Impala is getting bigger rear-tires soon and a TT Kit which I have but not installed yet for the 327. The Truck is a 351W and is very powerful more powerful than the Impala lol

Thanks Franco let's see what does that thing... lol

dicio_cross: really don't know yet, in the first stage it's going to be at low boost about 5 to 7 psi, when i swap the pistons for a forged ones as well as the rod's, hope it can andle 14 psi..... a lot to study yet.

decl00ne and slogun1993: it's not a ford, the maker here in argentina was IKA "Industrias Kaiser Argentina" based on a AMC 440H, redesigned by Pininfarina but the car pretty the same as the AMC, and the engine is a modified version of the tornado engine used on the M-715 military truck inline 6 230 OHC. later put some pics of the engine bay.

Thanks

Here's some pic's of the engine bay.

Well this car has came along way since I bought it and is currently stripped down once again to undergo something new. Basically everytime its about ready I change my mind and take it apart again basically I am turning it into a nice little DD that is good on gas lol. It's got a whole list of new stuff going on with it right now but the new parts that are being installed are:

  • B18B1 w/ B20 Non-Vtec head
  • Ground Control Coilovers
    KYB GR2 Struts
    205/40/16's streteched on 16x8 XXR 002 with a +15 Offset
Custom fabricated power windows (88/91 Civic Hatchbacks did not come with power windows)
    Adding Cruise Control & A/C
98 Integra GSR Black Cloth Seats w/ Integra Console as well
Custom Headliner (done by me as well)
    D2 Lower Control Arms
MKIV Jetta Front Lip Custom Fitted (Shown in picture of old setup)
Full Exhaust from the Header back

......I always forget things but this pretty much explains where it is going now for some older pictures

This is how it sits in the warehouse now awaiting me to finish it up. No my car isn't getting painted the color of the engine bay that's just the bay color. Also note the wheels on it are very rare honda wheels from the early 80's JDM Accords. They are on it while it sits in the warehouse.

Well basically I am building it for a DD so I am not going heavy into this engine. This is about the 6th Honda I have built I have had quite a few Honda's ranging from EM1 (2000 Honda Civic Si) and DC5 ('02 Acura RSX) among other's and this is just for looks and stance. So maybe in the future I will turn it into a LS/Vtec build but until then I am just making it for looks instead of making this one a track car. I would have actually just left the stock LS head on it but I had a few bent valves and I got the B20 head at a deal so that's the reason for the B20 head.

I help run a pretty big Honda site called Carolina Honda's so I am all about Honda's lol.

well mainly because 9/10 do it the other way around B20 bottom end and B18 head, what they got left is a B18 underblock and a B20 head kinda makes sense getting the scraps that nobody "wants" @first it looked like a D16ZC but when i read B18 w/ B20 head i was like ye makes sense

Yeah it has no performance gains/losses really there isn't much difference than the previous PR4 head that was on it. I am mainly getting the suspension/stance of the car and the interior as my main concerns right now. So maybe one day I will build the engine in this car but I am about to purchase a DC (94-00 Integra) and most likely go the route of a J-Swap since I have had a swap of everything else already. I do currently have a '99 Honda Odyssey with a J35 in it that I thouht about doing a VIP build on. So many things I can do but it takes alot of time and money as well.
