YO! Here's my ride! The vid is a little after I bought the car. I think it I recorded it when I got home with it. I painted the wheels black since then (pic below). I have also gotten the rear hatch to open. I have big plans for this car, mostly, a EJ25T and a 6 speed manual swap. New springs and struts have yet to be ordered (lack of money). The bolt on the keychain is the transmission linkage from my dad's old 2000 Solara SLE V6 (loved that car) and the light behind the clock has since gone out.

I'm happy that I got my grandpa's approval...
Trying to get a bunch more pics off my phone. I'll put them up later

Congrats on the new car man. If I were you I'd assess that rust and get it treated as soon as possible. I wouldn't doubt that your suspension is also suffering pretty badly from rust. Otherwise, nice buy. These Legacies are ridiculously expensive here but people tend to keep them in great condition.

@bb, my grandpa is 87 years old xD

After 205k miles, the suspension is FUCKED, but not leaking. The rust isn't actually all that bad, mostly just surface Shit. The rear quarterpanel bondo botch is paramount, behind the $560 suspension. For oem parts, this is currently my ownly car, and we have harsh winters, so no lowering yet, springs, struts, and bearing caps for the struts. The front right wheel bearing has play in it. Like, I can wiggle the back end of the tire a quarter inch, no issue, and there's an exhaust leak, where my midpipe meets my rear muffler. One of the heatshields rattles every time I accelerate. So it sounds like a CV joint or even the diff is empty, but it's just a shield, so gotta find some way to fix that. To replace the gasket for the leak, that's gonna be a challenge in of itself. Posting from my phone, so idk if the uploaded will work, but I'll post a pic of the gasket.

10 min later lol

Here's the exhaust

Previous owner had a small dog -.-

The dash, with confirmation of mileage lol

Put some gas in. The inside of the door is DIRTY and the wording on the sticker made me actually stop and say, What?? Filling the fuel to the tank... Okayyyy

Here's the bad spot I'll likely be fixing before winter... Which is about November for me.

Haha, most of the gas in this area is that cheap. It's more expensive out west, it's running up towards 4 bucks a gallon. My car has a 15.9 gallon tank, and putting that $10 in filled it from 1/16 tank to well over half xD fuel didn't last long though... I went to the bypass and had a little fun, trying to peg the Speedo. I got it to 115 and it didn't really want to do more. The trans it self ran out of gear. Started bouncing off the rev limiter xD

The rust is quite severe, wow. Did it rust through or is it still on the surface? I had a '91 Polo which rusted badly, too. Would have needed to replace the trunk door because it rusted through in a kinda bad spot.
Interesting gas pumps you have there;
In Germany they look like this:

@TomDiablo it's all surface rust. Nothing goes below the clearcoat except the quarter panel.

@TheSkidKid awesome! Would you mind posting a picture of it?

I've got plans, soonish, to pull the engine ant rebuild it. New seals and gaskets because *LINK* I have somewhere I can pull the engine, but I can't keep the shell there, so gonna have to tow it back to the house...

If you have BB's version, just click on the oil pan and adjust it's position accordingly.

Added 31 seconds later:

And next time, try asking in the Questions thread

# TheSkidKid :

Dude, that is clean as FUCK. Turbo? This is my first car though. I decided to do the speakers on it today, cuz I got em yesterday for my birthday, and still have to put the head unit in...

Wicked Kicker CS65's.

Ended up putting it in the yard, so I wasn't working in the street.

Don't worry, I was prepared.

Had to get the door panels off to get to the speakers

Tried taking the speaker connector off, and it didn't really work

So, I got some pliers

Ended up completely fucking the wires though

So, I taped them!

They fit perfectly in there!

On the rear driverside speaker, there was actual dust marks from the slats in the doorskin.

Luckily, this side was quite a bit cleaner then the other side

And I got the connector off without ruining the speaker

I was being watched the whole time...

Front speakers were WAYYY easier, and still clean from when I put the Pioneers in there a little while back

Clipped right in

There's the old ones, all together. Forgot to take a picture of the aftermath, I ended up having a ton of tools out, all for the rear speakers. Let me tell you though, with the stock head unit in there, and just using a cassette thing to play from my phone. those speakers bass the fuck out. Like, it's almost like there's a subwoofer in there, and if you didn't know otherwise, you would think there IS one on there. They are fucking fantastic xD

@dxg1997 - Haha yeah it's pretty clean but nah it's not a turbo. It's my first car too and here in Australia we can't have Turbo charged cars first up. Kinda sucks that it isn't but I still love it.

So, guys, I need an opinion... Should I straight pipe the car, or just do a resonator and rear muffler delete? I don't want drone, and I dont want rice. I'm thinking about just taking it all out, and replacing it with Legacy GT exhaust (bigger pipe, from 2.0" to 2.75"), but I eventually am replacing it with Borla exhaust, when I swap the 2.5 Turbo into it. Idk what I should do to it now. This is, of course, all after I save up the $560 for my springs, struts, and bearing caps...

I don't have a very large budget, so what kind of muffler would you recommend? Maybe within $100?

*edit* would this work you think

I'be decided to get a set of silver Enkei J10's, thanks to Pedram. 17", and I gotta find some tires. I might roll the fenders when I paint it, cuz the j10's are half again as wide as the steelies I have on there now.
