Very nice, I'm out for this one, can't get a good balance for the car, driving me nuts so I'll leave my current time though I know I can go faster...

There's a new Unofficial Community Patch over at the NoGripRacing forums that fixes a bunch of stuff. It's nice that they're working on this since there won't be any more official patches.
*LINK* Not sure how it'll affect the cars and lap times since a few things were modified like gas tank positions to make it more realistic. If you're using Minimod (Juls mod) or PTMu you'll have to recopy it over after installing the patch. OT: Nice time D1. I've got a ways to go... |

yeah i was gunna say a think about it.. its not allowed to be used in this competition for now because of
-- unlocked more default tuning options for lower tier cars. this would be unfair unless everyone had it Added 1 hour 50 minutes later: beat d1 by a few hundreds.. :o you need to be crazy smooth through the track to get 03's This post was edited by Jesus Christ (2011-08-26 13:47, ago) |

Oh, I have the mod installed already.
I would suggest that this competition is based on honesty, so if you say 'no upgrades' we should all comply regardless. Having the Polished Tire Mod installed will usually give you a several seconds per lap advantage. I don't have have anything except v1.04 of the community mod installed, so I shouldn't see any difference in laptimes. I'm not getting 8:03's yet, that's for sure. I think I will leave the mod installed for now (I've been doing a bit of work on it) and my laptimes don't need to be included in the actual competition. |

yeah the problem is extra tuning options that get unlocked so you can adjusts more things on the car which could really improve your lap time

Well I ran the 8:03 without it installed, and then I installed it. So I guess that time will be my final time.

I say we allow it after this round. I've tested it quite a bit, and it is a really good mod with lots of nice bug fixes, the cars feel more natural to drive without making them stupidily easy. It's not overpowering or anything either.

I'd say have it recommended for the next round especially since it fixes the Rotaries

Yeah they know the infield very well. I'm finding it tough to get below 8:10.xxx as I just don't know the track well enough. It's why I prefer the shorter real world tracks too as this takes 10 mins or so a pass and that's a lot of time!

I wasn't thinking very clearly in my previous post.
The problem is that the UCP will put consoles at a disadvantage. Not only are tuning options unlocked, several cars had major typos/inaccuracies in the code that have been fixed. UCP users will be at a disadvantage with rotaries. I'm not sure what to think now. I can switch to un-modded fairly easily though. Is the e92 M3 GT ALMS an LE car? I cannot find it. |

its your choice tbh with the number of people that join i cant take the piss with limiting this and that as long as its fair lap time/car PI its allright..
well you might need to download the ultimate save game or you need to win the endurance championship and you'll get it |

Ah thanks.
2:01:77x without tuning so far. Pretty excellent vehicle. I'm sure it's good for at least 5 seconds less. The tracks bounds are pretty poor though, you can run far too wide without penalties. ^With a bad tune. I guess I will always get a few seconds more since I don't have any tire mods. Yeah I hate this track for the poor track cut boundaries. Well have to rely on honesty.
So far I'm hitting 1:55:xx with 2 wheels on the track surface at all times. |
