mod affects all tyres. you can edit grip by changing tyre compound or editing tyre java
Added 5 hours 12 minutes later: Version 6.1Downloadwhat's new: -very different tyre set, much less floating in corners -some fixes V6.1 -less understeer version 6 download This post was edited by mindeliszz (2014-09-23 18:32, ago) |

@mindeliszz - I enjoyed that physics a lot (mostly making cars without suspension) and after hard testing, I found that you've made adjustable brake pressure and brake balance - but isn't it the same thing? I mean you can do brake balance editing brake pressure on certain wheels.
Also - I have one suggestion: If you click on tune tool, you can adjust brake pressure - from 0 to 100%. My idea is to make it from 0 to let's say 120%, so you can make cheaper brakes stronger |

@KeeJay Brake balance is very easy to use and adjusting brake pressure is more advanced way.
Interesting idea about brakes. I need proof that it's possible in real life, then i'll consider that @Runaeh ASR in options. But it doesn't work very well |

@mindeliszz - I don't know how exactly it works irl, but (let's say) making bigger diameter of brake fluid intake and better pump will make work. Ofc wth decrease of strength.

Man, let me tell you, I haven't opened my game in like half a year, but this mod got me curious and at first I thought it was going to be one of those silly mods that have no real changes in the handling. But I must tell, I was wrong, I kinda love it, it's my ticket back to slrr

It's very strange, when I go to buy tyres the game crashed. When I opened the error log, there wasn's any error except this : "create: Wrong GameType! :0xFFFF08DF" but I'm not sure if it's not from other old and fixed crash.

o took a break from modding
Added 22 days later: I have plans to rewrite calculations in tyre.java from scratch. This requires lots of thinking and testing. There's some progress, but nothing much to show off. Thanks to BB93 for talking me back to modding and for his SLRR version, which improves framerate when recording. Most of the vids will be 1080p now This post was edited by mindeliszz (2014-10-26 20:59, ago) |

everything is included in updates, you don't need to have installed previous versions
Added 13 hours 33 minutes later: some news: I found a way how to edit suspension geometry(it means to create suspension travel like double wishbone). When i removed wheel.setArm function from suspension java, the wheel travel directory changed like camber was locked(like double wishbone). Still i don't know how exactly it works, but i'm figuring out. The function has lots of variables: setArm( float len, float px, float py, float pz, float nx, float ny, float nz ); I just can speculate that first value is some kind of length, the others are 3 dimensional coordinates for two points(upper arm, lower arm coordinates?). Any ideas? Edit: Apparently same result can be achieved by editing wheel.setHub function. I'm confused Ant it have even more variables setHub( float len, float p1x, float p1y, float p1z, float p2x, float p2y, float p2z, float pcx, float pcy, float pcz ); This post was edited by mindeliszz (2014-11-11 23:37, ago) |

VICx,VICy and VICz(not used but exists) determines instantaneous center coordinates
not sure what LIC does. Added 1 hours later: ok, so i have this theory: LIC and VIC are instant centers. VIC is for instant center like in the pic above LIC is for instant center like in this pic: x,y,z coordinates: |
