Awesome work tho, CJ. Compared to your work, mine would look like my 7 year old daughter made it.  Added 4 minutes later: @Noi5eBomb: You must not have seen many connecting rods in your lifetime. Some are plain like that. Most have some sort of recessed areas that are machined, cast, or forged in to strengthen the rod, but I have seen some with nothing. Besides, it's a WIP, remember? So he's probably not done with them.

@JAG: i have worked on a few engines , and i agree with you that i haven't seen amny c-rods in my life.but when i say "plain" , i mean they should have some sort of engraving , like these carillo rods for example:
