Try to remove your sound drivers completely OR if you got PCI-E sound card, try to run integrated one.

Or it is because of bugged "dancing" input/output?
Check how do you have these ports plugged on rear panel (grayed ones are not plugged OR read by driver): Try to force your drivers use the ones that you have pluged in. It's common bug on Win7 and Vistas. |

Try to make clean install of the drivers, and check your PC for viruses.

If it happens ONLY with CS, then the problem must be with the game itself or steam.

I've had this problem with Raeltek too.
Here's how to fix it: Go to Control Panel, then Device Manager. After doing that find Sound, Video and Game Controllers in the device manager, click on that, then when the subcategories open up, right click on Realtek HD Audio, then disable it and enable it again. This will work untill the next time you start up your computer/ laptop, and then you have to do it again. If that doesn't work, try to uninstall the driver and then install it again. |
