So erm decided to try and get into SLRR modding. Got this 3D Model of a lawn mower from GTA SA imported and now just wondering what the hell to do with it to make it a working car for SLRR. PXRZ will help me with the scripting, I just need to get the 3D model sorted.

I plan on addding a few silly aftermarket parts if I can. I'll need to learn the basics of 3DS Max first though, and find out what I need to do.

I think that it'll be hard to fit SLRR suspension on it.

You need to detach main parts, like hood, bumpers, and all the stuff that you see on other cars for SLRR.

I'll try to work something out about the suspension. I think it'll work, and my plan is to make it with all parts detachable and maybe add a few addon ones. Irl there is racing lawn mowers so I'll have a look at those for ideas.

Noice, I would like to suggest a quite large engine bay for huge engines and the panel part under the hood should be a detachable part too (in case you like to throw in an engine as big as the V12). Some pointy ricer kits (hugely overdone aerodynamics) along with much more serious made go-kart parts both for wider wheels. A set of rally headlights would be nice to have on the grill(s).

This might sound odd but how about making spacers to be put onto the brakes/brakes attachment entry to make wheels sit more wider (an actual part doing the job of the adjustable offsets)?

Be easy on me with suggestions guys xD. This is the first time I'll be doing anything in a 3D modelling program.

PXRZ, a V12 is WAYYY to big for a lawn mower. Let's say a N/A RB26 and JZ-GTE should fit at least.
It's still your mod Marty :D

I'd suggest you to use a different model, because GTA:SA (stock) models are very low-quality.
If you want to put something in-game, try finding a slightly higher quality mod, because that way it's easier to put it in-game without shading errors.

Hmm well what game has good quality lawn mowers?

Added 2 minutes later:

I could use the GTA V one but how the hell do I get that in 3DS Max?

There's already GTA V mower converted to SA.

I'd need to ask the modder who converted it's permission though. And sometimes it can be hard to find a way to contact them.

Yeah I found one and sent the modder who converted it to GTA SA an email. Hopefully he replies soon and lets me use it.

How about some inspiration for the engines?

Added 1 minute later:

Would love to get a single cylinder too at the same time (partially made scripts but lack the mesh).

IYC (in your case) I would have liked to make lengh supporting parts so that it´s still looks decent.

If not working, I found these as replacements if this doesn´t go as planned *LINK*

Added 4 minutes later:

if it´s this one you guys meant, it does look good but dunno if better though (some reuse of the previous model´s parts?).

I'll be working on it more during spring break which starts 2nd April. Right now I've got school and would kinda like to use my free time for other stuff.

ok then.... got sort of boring here when I have nothing to script together.

Added 1 day later:

So what can I do for your mod (or what will be a part of it) right now as in the engine for it?

Leave a suggestion please.
