-✘ Hello everyone I am Grant and here I will share my journey. I am from Eastern Europe but currently I am living in Japan and residing in Osaka because I got chance to study abroad. I couldn't refuse the offer to come here, so here I am, working at nightclub as waiter and studying. Enough of my story I guess, so lets move on to other things. First things first, months after living without a car,I decided to buy something. So soon enough after looking at auctions one car caught my attention. It was 2003 Toyota Altezza Gita AS300 5-speed automatic. Here are some photos from auction.

-✘ So few days later I contacted the seller and together with my friend Oscar ( Terroras on forums ) went to see it in person. After almost three hour drive to Nagoya we came to the place. Here is how it looked.

-✘ The car seemed nice and well maintained, engine ran fine as well and the only defects I could see is that the front bumper was loose on the right side, and some chipped paint in some places. Also the owner decided to keep his wheels and instead he put decent black steelies on. But that problems didn't scared me and I bought it for 4000V%.. 2jz train anyone ? lol

-✘ Half and hour later we stopped at gas station, I must say that I already like this car, comfy seats, drives and handles very well for wagon. At the gas station sitting pretty.

-✘ So after long day of driving, and doing things we came back to our place, to the garage we started to rent together as we have many plans in near future. Looking forward to fit few cars into this place.. But anyways, here are some photos form our place and my new "beast".

-✘ So yeah, the first thing on the list to do is to fix that broken front bumper and inspect the car more. I can't think of anything else to do at the moment, as for the mods ant etc, it's the same, will probably keep it "daily-able" as I need car to take me to places without problem. But you know.. sometimes strange things happen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

-✘ More updates coming soon, also we about to go pick up Oscars EK9, so will keep you guys updated.

Thank you ! Yeah I like that color too, despite the fact that I was hesitating at first when I saw her.. I must agree with you on the engine, it is pretty powerful for a N/A engine and reliable I must say, only minus is that the car is automatic.. Sadly there weren't any manual 2JZ-GE Gita's made out there..But you know, I am not complaining haha ! It is pretty convenient for city driving and you know how the traffic is here.. Of course we should definitely meet up sometime ! But sadly I have a pretty busy schedule, but no worries, we will figure something out I guess !

Was the engine swapped? Correct me if I'm wrong but don't Altezzas have 3S-GE'S?

# doge : looks dope, any huge plans for it?
Aah, thats the hard question.. hah. Probably no huge plans for it, I want to keep it as "daily-able" as possible. Might put on some nice wheels or some exterior parts and thats it, maybe something to engine, but not anything too extreme, will get another car someday for those things.
# skip : Was the engine swapped? Correct me if I'm wrong but don't Altezzas have 3S-GE'S?
You are right, but also wrong, but no worries ! Nope, it came with 2JZ-GE straight from the factory. From the Altezza family only the Gita's had choice of having 2JZ engine but only with automatic transmission, sedans didn't had it, the only sedans who had it were Lexus IS, also Lexus'es received manual transmissions too.. But you right there is other versions of this car with other engines as you stated - 1G-FE's or 3S-GE's. I believe you would be able to find more info on the internet, cause I am bad at explaining things haha !

-✘ So yeah guys, yesterday at night we went to Wakayama to see this "clean" white 97' EK9 Type-R for Oscar (Terroras).. We weren't very sure about that car, but when we test drove it and took a closer look at things we decided to buy it as it seemed very well maintained, we were surprised because we didn't expected that from civic, so now Oscar has a car too which is pretty awesome because now we will be able to do many more things. Will post some photos later on.

-✘ So on the way home I decided to test my Altezza's top speed.. I know that this wasn't the cleverest thing to do, but I don't need no lectures about how dangerous that is,especially on public expressway,I know what I am doing. So anyways, as it was middle of the night, and almost no cars infront, I floored the gas pedal quickly acclerating, of course Oscar didn't stood waiting so he did the same. As he was driving in front of me, I overtaken him while he was going at 180 km/h and at that moment my car topped out at 230 km/h.. Oscars passenger managed to take a picture of me passing, so here it is.

-✘ So yeah after spending more than four hours driving back and forth for that Civic we came back to our place. Here is his EK9 sitting in our garage. Amazing little machine I must say, but yeah B16 engine and all, I believe that he will tell you more about it than me tho.

-✘ So today I did some things too, after luch went to garage and fixed that loose front bumper, the problem was that, that in some places the screws that were supposed to hold it were not there, so that was an easy fix, managed to "fix" it in few minutes.

The front of the car instantly looked better and cleaner.

-✘ Also my number plates came in, so no more temporary plates.

-✘ Without waiting any longer I put my plates on and went for a drive.. Which eventually led me to one of the UpGarage shops.. So after thirty minutes I was in Kadoma.. Not gonna lie, I was browsing their website before.. So yeah, I came here, and bought few things.. Waiting for guys to sort my purchased things out and bring them from storage garage. Will bring the goods with my own car, as there is enough space *hint* *hint*

-✘ Mhm.. I believe you guys knew that I was about to get some wheels.. And I did. Here they are, sitting in a corner. I couldn't wait and decided to put them on. I know someone will like it, someone will hate it, and other will be scratching their head thinking "the fuk". So without waiting more, I jacked the car up, and within thirty minutes I got all wheels replaced.

-✘ Yep, your eyes don't lie. I bought Mercedes W221 wheels + spacers from 5x114 to 5x112 and fitted used but almost as good as new Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires. Everything I bought was from UpGarage, so I will surely come back. You might think, Mercedes wheels on a Japanese car in Japan, WHAT. I don't know, I just liked them I guess, also it was a good deal and Altezza needed new tires, so I bought both things at once. As you can see the wheels are not the prettiest ones now, they lost all their shine because they were stored for long time, also a lot of brake dust and shit on it, so I will be polishing them in upcoming days, after that it will give them completely different look. Also I will be keeping the stellies for future. I paid 610V$ for everything, including rims, tires and spacers, also the guys mounted up tires for me there.

-✘ Here she is, stading outside.

-✘ Might do some work on her tomorrow too. So stay in touch for updates.

-✘ Well.. Today was kinda busy day I must say.. After the lectures at "school" I went to some local car service shop and picked up some parts for my engine and a can of polish paste. I decided to change the engine oil with filter and timing belt with tensioner because who knows when was the last time it got replaced as the previous owner didn't mentioned anything about it. So after looking at goods for few minutes I was about to buy OEM belt with tensioner, but then I saw a HKS performance one.. I know it is like three times more expensive than OEM but I still went for it, better parts never hurt.. Also picked up a TRD oil filter and 6 liters of Eneos Sustina 5W30 oil. So it in the end I payed 280V$ for engine parts with oil and 20V$ for a can of polish paste. Took a pic of her at the parking lot near shop.

-✘ So when I came back to garage I took my tools and started working on the engine, before changing the belt I unscrewed the oil release bolt, it saved a lot of time later, so when I finished with timing belt and tensioner the engine was completely drained amd ready to be filled again.
HKS Performance belt with tensioner,TRD oil filter installed and engine filled with fresh oil.. The engine seems to respond different now but in good way of course !

-✘ After I finished with engine, I moved on to polishing the wheels. Thankfully Oscar did all his work beforehand and was able to help me polish them. He got new wheels today too tho. All the dirt and brake dust washed off easily only the polishing took like three hours, of course we were not in a hurry so we took our time. We jacked the car up and put her on the jack stands. Took all four wheels and started polishing them. I was pretty happy with the end result, they look very good now.

-✘ After we finished we went to our local supermarket and I took some photos of our cars, those wheels look really good, agree or disagree with me, but I like them.

-✘ So yeah, we did many things today, the car is both looking and performing better. Also yesterday I forgot to mention that I ordered something for my Altezza.. I am not going to reveal it yet, but you guys should see it on friday I believe, as the guy I bought it from said he will deliver it on friday.. So yeah, I am waiting for it with my fingers crossed.

You are right, it would.. But there is no need for it at the moment, cause I am pretty happy with how it is now. I am thinking of doing staight pipes from the engine tho.. Also today I tought about buying new ECU to lift my rev limiter and adjust other things, but I dont think it is worth to buy one considering that the car is N/A and I'm not thinking about turbos either.

But it would be loud tho ! haha
Added 52 minutes later:

-✘ Today started kinda early.. At around 8 AM I got call from Shao.. He is the one I ordered "parts" from. He said he is already waiting at my garage as he got my delivery. Alright I guess, I went straight to garage and skipped todays classes, whatever it is friday you know hah. So when I came to my garage, I couldn't wait to take a look at what I got. Also about him, he works at junkyard and at UpGarage, also is good at fabricating things, so he is always around good parts and stuff, so if you guys need anything from here, I could try to make things happen for you, so keep it in mind.

-✘ Also he has a VW van, those things look so nice to me. I would daily those things without problems haha.

-✘ Unboxed my delivery.

-✘ Yeah.. I got a custom made Hydraulic Handbrake with Willwood 0.625 master cylinder. Altezza had a LSD, so I tought why not.. I noticed that the first time I drove her, but I kept it quiet. It was custom made by Shao, as he also does CNC machine work on the side. Also got some brake lines and other bits to do the job.. Oh, and Shao helped me to install it too ! Sometimes everything is easier with some help. So few hours later, we installed the brake and made it fully functional.

-✘ After we finished with the handbrake I also changed my rear rims to the old steelies, because I didn't want to mess my new tires you know.

-✘ I couldn't wait to try it out, but sadly I had to wait till evening because Oscar was busy all day and I didn't wanted to go alone. So when it got a little darker, we left the garage and went to "empty" mountain roads outside Osaka. Despite the fact that this car is automatic, I managed to get it sideways pretty easily too, but of course it is near as good as manual but I am still satisfied with results ! The handbrake locks both wheels perfectly. Here is some photos from our "trip". As always.. we got some photos too. Take a look at that awesome rolling shot and some "maad" skids.

-✘ Oh, and I also took a spin in Oscars EK9, it handles really good trough those sharp corners and windy roads. I liked it a lot.

-✘ So after some hooning in touge we decided to go back home without crazy driving and stuff. Of course that didn't go as planned, it never does. So turn after turn, we were already going full throttle.. The never ending friendly rivalry haha.

-✘ So yeah, that was kinda fun and I'm looking forward to doing this again, but maybe not with Altezza, also larger group of us would be nice too. Also some news about other things. I did something.. Last night I opened car auctions and did some bids on few cars.. So that means if I will win them, I will get new thing to work on, or maybe not.. We will see in upcoming days how it will turn out.

-✘ Hey everyone.. Remember the last time I told you I did some bids on few cars ? Well.. Things changed fast, and I am in need for more money. So I am selling my Altezza. I am not going to say much for now about the situation I am in, so here is the ad of Altezza.

-✘ Well.. Hello everyone, it's been long time since I posted something. I was kinda busy most of the time I must say haha, working, doing things, social life and stuff, but don't you worry I did not forget car stuff. A lot of things happened in those two and half months. Remember when I said I did some bids ? Well I didn't won any of them.. I was bidding on 93' NA Supra, then on some E46 M3's, also went to see and almost bought an 2005 E60 M5.. But I bought something different than I was looking for, but I will get to that later.

-✘ So lets begin about good things. After I put the Altezza on sale, ten days later an Australian guy called me and asked to meet up because he wanted to take a look at car. Well, after some talks and driving around in it he decided to buy it, so after some negotations I sold her for 4900V$ with all the extra parts and things included. He seemed kinda cool guy too, car "enthusiast" , said he was going to make it drift car or something in that area. Well it's up to him now.. The last photo I took of Tezza' driving away from my apartment.

-✘ So few days ago I received message from him with pictures of my Altezza to see how it is these days.. Well he wasn't lying, my Toyota became full drift "missile" I must say ? He took the 2JZ out and put 1JZ Single turbo in it with manual tranny and stuff, modified exterior and suspension too. I was kind happy that my car was finally seeing some crazy action, but I also felt kinda strange because perfectly clean car went this way ha. He also said I will get to take a spin in it when we meet someday at the track, hopefully this summer. Here is the photos.

-✘ Sooo about my new car which I bought one week after I sold Gita. As I said I bought something different than I was looking for but I am more than happy to own it. It was the car which I always liked but never took a serious approach to it, also summer is coming too, so sporty car is a must haha. So after some talks with my friends from overseas I decided to take a look at 350Z's HR's or 370Z's, went to see few, I kinda liked one 2011 370z Nismo but it was way out of my price range.. 34kV$. But I kept looking more and more and found a very clean 2007 manual transmission 350Z with 44k kilometers on it for 14kV$ in Okayama, but after some negotations I convinced the seller to sell it for 13kV$. Pics from the ad.

-✘ So we packed out stuff, took Oscars EK9 and drove straight to Okayama, bought it the same day and drove it back home. On the way home.

-✘ So yeah, currently my plan is to make it kinda Showcar/Racecar which is going to be money pit in long run for sure.. And I'm 100% sure I am going to keep it. So few days later first parts were ordered. I ordered real brand new 3Piece CCW Classics, 17x10 in front and 17x12 in rear, also bought all four Nitto NT05R Tires. I know it's kinda stupid to blow almost four grand (3970V%) on wheels and tires, but this is the setup I always dreamt of. Also ordered TEIN SUPER RACING COILOVERS for 2900V$, you may ask why such "racy" parts ? I don't know if I am honest, I am just going for the things I like and the things I think I will need. You will see later, it will pay off. Oh, and if someone of you need my old wheels just send me a message, I have no idea what kind of wheels those are, but they are 18x9 and looks like NISMO chrome reps or something with Michelins on it, didn't liked them from first day, tires are good tho. I also bought a full NISMO bodykit for 1800 V$..

-✘ The parts took full month to get delivered to my door from USA, didn't mind that at all since I am not into rush. I installed everything the same day I received everything. The bodykit will stay boxed until Z' gets wrapped.

-✘ Everything looked amazing for me, I didn't adjusted coilovers as I decided to wait for other suspension parts, then I will start tuning and adjusting it, but even without custom adjustments the car felt like glued to the road on corners, also it became almost two inch lower, so some negative camber in back was generated, will adjust and "fix" it later when I will receive other parts because I am not going for "stance/cambergang yolo" look, sorry "crazyflush lovers <3" no hate. Thats how it sits now.

-✘ So that's pretty much everything I have done to the car in those two months, drove it almost everyday, got a good feel of it. Also had some quality photos taken with good camera and not from my Iphone.. Take a look, what a beautiful car it is in almost "stock" form.

-✘ Thats pretty much it, also today I drove my Zeto' to get it wrapped at Shao's friends workshop. It will be wrapped in an awesome color, but I will not reveal the color yet. Here is a probably last quality pic of my Z' until it gets wrapped. Of course it is a roller shot while on the way to workshop haha.

-✘ They started working on it the same hour I delivered the car, hopefully it will get finished till this weekend, so I can reveal that bomb color to you guys. Some pics from the workshop. Work in progress.

-✘ So yeah guys, thanks for reading.. I am back and hopefully will be more active than before, so that is the news for now, more coming soon. See ya all soon, peace.

Big wang is definitely on my mind, but I will go with stock NISMO wing for now (short on money haha). Mhm, something near those colors, will be bright for sure !

-✘ Well there it is, revealing the car today, on sunday... oops, was busy yesterday doing things and didn't had time to post here.

-✘ I must say that the result is fascinating, I'm really happy about how it turned out, and with that purple color the Z' will definitely stand out from the crowd and it is surely and eye catching color ! #attentionwhore

-✘ Here are some photos after I took the Z' straight from the shop.

-✘ Ass Shots

-✘ Also as you probably noticed, the shop are somewhere in factory area, so that means no popo around. So I believe you know what happened next, some hooning happened - Some hard launches and skids.

-✘ So yeah, that's it for today (yesterday lol), now the wheel alligment and suspension tuning will begin, while engine parts are on the way. I want to set everything up in upcoming days because I want to travel to Tokyo for some things before May comes. Will update you guys when I have something new.

For sure, how about you let me drive yours rice can too :RICE: haha. I know right, I made stupid choice buying crazy expensive stuff lol.

That is awesome to hear Buddha, glad you like it !

-✘ So yeah guys, more updates. Today I spent my entire morning back at the shop. I decided to wrap my door handles black too because silver ones looked out of place, also they made me some #Zociety stickers and visor strip, so I guess now I'm about that Zociety life lol.

-✘ Also there is some bad news.. Today I noticed that my clutch is going out, started slipping out of nowhere while pulling from red light, probably got worn pretty badly ( thanks to hard launches and clutch kicks lol ), so after I got home I ordered Exedy Pro-Kit ( clutch and flywheel ), which will be good enough for my needs now and in future, should be delivered with week or so.

-✘ Also something cool is coming up, I should be able to show you in a day or two. #fire

-✘ Hey everyone, some updates on what is happening lately. Remember when I said that something cool is coming up ? Well, I been working on some other things too which in result led to collaboration with fellow local car guy. So met yesterday, talked about cars and shit, got to know each other, seems kinda cool guy for sure. But yeah, straight to the point now - We did a photoshoot and sick video of our cars together, baddest 86' and 350Z builds in progress from Osaka yo. Will post pictures of photoshoot tonight, video will probably be finished editing by tomorrow. So yeah, here is one random photo from the parking lot in which we met,so you can expect what to see haha, anyone recognizes that white car ?

-✘ Yep, it's Holeecrab and his 86'. So stay tuned for some awesome footage guys !

-✘ Well, wassup everyone, being busy all those days I didn't had enough time to spend on the editing photos and stuff, so this morning I decided to work on those things and upload best footage here, I picked best photos from our meet up with Holeecrab and edited them a lil, just to make them more beautiful you know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

-✘ So there it is, as I said I picked only best ones to show you guys, of course there is a lot more in my HDD, but they probably doesn't need to be shown lol (they suck) as I haven't been taking photos myself for long time. So yeah, lets begin, enjoy some cool shots.

-✘ Oh and by the way, after I sent this photo to one of my friends, he replied me with this haha, thought I would share it with you guys too.

-✘ Let's get back to normal photos.

-✘ Oh and probably the best pic taken by Oscar, of course it is me fuckboyin on the exit of docks lol, #nohate

-✘ So yep, I am very happy about our meet up, I think photos turned out great, Holeecrabs 86' looks even more amazing in person and it will look even better in future for sure cause he got some awesome plans, so probably next meet will be even bigger and better ! And as for the video, I can promise you guys I will edit it little bit later, maybe at weekend because footage is lit but I sadly I don't have enough time to spend editing right now because of work and stuff.. Well that's it for today I guess ? My clutch is fuckt up, hard to drive it daily now, so probably next update will be when I will be installing new clutch and flywheel. Peace and more updates coming soon guys !
