I don't want to spend too much money on the engine yet, i will be swapping it soon anyway.

So like I said yesterday I would be fitting the bodykit completely.
I finished fully fitting it after work and then checked over the car since me and Lagano are going to Ebisu tomorrow.

Drove it home after and I am kinda running out of space on my drive. With 3 cars it's kinda....... cramped.
Especially since I'm in Tokyo.

The 180 should be getting paint sometime after Ebisu.
I'm gonna be swapping my 1JZ in so it gives me a chance to fully gut the car and respray it.
Really happy with how it looks as of now. If anyone is selling Bride/Recaro bucket seats let me know, I'm looking for some.

I've bought coilovers for the Skyline, they won't be fitted for a while though. Once the 180 is started I probably will start working on it, looking for a nice exhaust from UpGarage to fit later on too.

Not that money is a problem, it's just that my main focus is the 180SX and until I have that where I want it the Skyline won't really be touched. If I want to do an exhaust upgrade i probably will go that route.

.....and i lowered it

Bbaaaaaccccckkkkk aaaggggaaaaiiinnnn

So the past week me and Lagano have been swapping my 180's broken-ass SR with a 1JZ that I bought from Maikeru. It's not even mounted yet, but I know what I have to cut and have a fair idea what it will look like when it's in.

I took the chance to get it painted again while the engine was out, so I'm getting it painted a shade darker black with a purple bay/door combo. This'll make way for *something* later on.

Second coat of primer on in this shot.

On to the R.
So while the 180 is getting painted I bought some shit for my R.
I bought JIC Racing coilovers (paid in my last post) and a Mine's carbon trunk lip for V$316, both from UpGarage.
Makes it look a small bit more aggressive but....the fitment tho...
If your selling any 18" rims hmu. Tyres or not.

I also detailed my interior so it doesn't smell like a damn hotbox. Looks way better now.

Livery time.

So it's time for the "big reveal" kinda post.
Me and Lagano have been working on my 180 to get it finished and running properly.
So now is the final reveal.

I've been making this livery for a while now and got it printed at Art of Wheel with out in-house printer.
It's bright and stands out a lot but it's exactly what I was aiming for

The engine bay also got re-painted with a purple floral design-pattern thing. I love it so muucch.
oh yeah, the 1JZ is working fine too. The power is mental and the sound is to die for.

Impulse Purchases.

So yeah....
I bought a EJ2 Civic.
It has a SOHC D16 in ok condition and....
windows?
uhhm
I kinda want to aim it towards 2001 styling, like fast and furious, but I would probably get stabbed if I did sooo..idk

It cost V$1,450 which isn't bad I suppose.
No real problems, no rust either which is really good.

But that's it for now anyway, bah felicia

Something like this

please, do not do something very rice, put a bodykit bn sports and improvements to the sohc , that is of the time of fast and furious, but that is not so radical and this well done, not a car with 5 types of color per panel and tons of bondo
That civic has potential to be a low budget track car, or to be a low budget drag car, if with an ebay turbo it can already be around 350-400 hp

Besides, it is rare to see a civic of that generation without being ricer, so, as much as possible, make modifications like a body kit of bn sports that are bumpers and sideskirts, a bonnet bomex and glass headlights, thing that if you regret it, you take everything away, and you put the originals , and also that those parts give an aesthetic of fast and furious

And for what you want, do not put a fartcan, Please

Added 4 minutes later:

Something like the one in the photo would look good, and if it has heavy artillery under the hood better!
Good luck with the project

It will probably get a full Bomex kit with some kind of wing. The SOHC D16 will stay and will be turboed but reaching 350-400hp on a non-vtec SOHC Honda motor is 1. Not worth the money 2. Unreliable as fuck. This civic won't be getting any BN Sports style kit any time soon and is gonna be styled around the import scene in 1999/2000. Yeah it will have a kinda big exhaust but this is the style that I want to make this car into and saying "eww your a ricer!!!111!" Won't make any difference. I love this era of modification and wanted some car to express it.
Hope this doesn't come across offensive.

Thanks! Yeah some people might think it's "rice" but idgaf what they say, they're the same people that buy rocket bunny kits and LS swap their 240sx's. This was the S-H-I-T back in 1999 and in 10-15 years time people will say the same about rocket bunny.
Hope everyone understands what I want to do now lmao.

Yes, I know what you want to do, But the only thing I ask, is that you do not fill it with bondo everywhere, I put the idea of the bn sports kit because they are bumpers and sideskirts, and give it that style of the 2000s without doing a very radical thing, you understand me

A bomex kit would be appropriate. As long as they are bolt-on parts, so that when you regret it, you can go back easily, instead of cutting all the parts with putty and all that

That's why I told you about the bolt on kit, just in case you regret it, or you want to sell it, you put the originals and that's it, oh, and also to avoid the car of one color and the panels of another, use vinyl, then you take it off and you're done

Thanks! Wouldn't be the same without the D-Max hood you sold me.
Can't wait to start building the Civic. Just trying to see what colours and how to build the D16 for a turbo. Don't think people really like the idea of an FnF style Civic but it's mine so idgaf really. I was thinking maybe a BuddyClub kit since that was popular at the time but I'll most likely get a Bomex kit.

That civic will be amazing (Not my style really the time of 2000, but if you get a good kit, a good suspension, good improvements, but they are bolt on, to avoid you regret and do not turn back, it will be a nice nostalgia project), Then when I get a little better money, I'll do one too! hahahaha

I'm I the only one that knows that rice is actually derogatory and subjective and not based on how a car looks as the term "rice" refers to Asian exported cars in America in relation to Asias biggest export "rice" ?

But I digress bring us a blast from the past make it as crazy and as offensive as possible all hail the "rice rocket".
