# drifter92 : Well, all is nice in shiny, but you already know I find something wrong in something other might consider perfect...and if I don't I'm going to nag about something to abuse this image macro. we know we know wanna model the engines for us ? that would just make the mod very long and probably never reaching the release stage.. so its really not worth doing improving textures might be possible [/img][/img] |

@drifter92:
What is planned for engines, it's a complete headcover/intake package. Re-doing all the engines will be one epic job, and it'll take a really long time, and we don't want to enter the hall of never-to-be-finished-mods-for-slrr. We want this finished, released, cool and fun... quickly. So, you can expect that the E92 will have a nice E92-a-like headcover... the same for Jaguar, Ferrari and others... and you can expect something about the sounds too... this TDU experience I had really opened some doors on my mind... and sound its really a serious issue I want to solve. So, you can expect headcovers with the level of quality you know from my headcovers |

And let me explain a bit about the "Valo-Fix".
I studied during several days, the reasons of the crashes in Valo... I collected some toughts with Nightrider and others, and come to a conclusion: what crashes Valo City during some day races and most during night races, are the static shadows generated on mid-hipoly cars (If you pay attention, just before Night racing crashes, you'll see a white shadow under the opponent car or fake racers cars...) like the J2 or FM3 ones... Then talked more with Miran and he said to me to try something about that... and I tried, and it works... now you can face 3-4 of these high quality cars on any Valo City environment. More is possible... and it doesnt crash. I've tested during days and days, and had sucess.. But its SLRR anyway... keeping your game clean of bugged/bad mods its a must. But random crashes like that will really be rare. When we release this, i'll give a more technical explanation of what I did. |

# diegorborges : @drifter92: Headcovers + intakes was pretty much what I was thinking about, so maybe I expressed myself poorly. Since the last thing I want is the Ferrari with mid 60's carbs |

# CJ : Pro mod also added 100+ rims and tires and engines + Parts. well... my rimpack already have over 100 meshes, that means 25+ different rims modeled from scratch (they come in 16, 17, 18, 19 inchs that's why 100+ meshes), and i also made 2 new tyres for each size, but as you can see... i almost add a rim per day |

# Jesus Christ : didn't talk much about fake racers.. depends really they suck anyway but would add quite a bit of work the police car is not a bad idea we'll see a charger for that would be good but fm3 model might be a bit too much ;)Lower lod FM3 model would do the job.. |

Quick Info...
Ferrari 458 Italia @ DSpeedFactory garage... In the works: -Handling/phys -Stockparts lists -Exclusive V8 for it, it's just the SLRR V8 with tweaked textures, special headcover and new sounds ripped from TDU...figuring out how sounds work and kinda got it. cj - we know lol.. we know what they are doing and that their mod will be bigger.. we knew that from the start we don't go for size/amount of parts etc.. we are doing it for fun not to compete with those pesky russians

Some images from one of the first tests on Laguna Seca... 1:32 best lap so far... still a lot to improve. The handling its showing too understeery... that's good for beginners, its really hard to mess up with this car, but... the understeer is killing the performance... Need to balance that. Rear camber should be neutralized too.
The sounds got better than I could imagine, but still crap. But, its good to know that we gonna have a Ferrari that at least screams like one. Engine specs are 559 screaming bhp @ 8500rpm... kinda Ferrari-ish powerband... weak at low revs, but things get really amazing at high rpm! |

Awesome diego! hope you can get the scripting fixed soon!!!
btw make a pic like the one that GT5 fanboys vs Forza fanboys compare... the one of the ferrary headlight... and we will say SLRR FTW!! |

Well honestly... I'm a huge GT5 fanboy... but I love Forza meshes, as we are using them. GT5 meshes are more advanced, and much more time was spent on them, blah blah and these fanboys generally discuss realism and you can see that GT5 is superior in graphic department... newer hardware, blah blah... enough! This is not the place for discussing that. In the end, they are BOTH DIFFERENT GAMES, and each one has its pros and cons
Back on topic: What I can say is that SLRR is really honest being such an old game engine |

dont get me wrong but the only reason people think GT5 looks more real because of all the reflections.. real life doesnt reflect like a mirror. after all GT5 uses static reflection and FM3 uses enviroment reflections, which can be seen very well when zoomed in on a chrome wheel
and these are the best graphics ever |
