Be careful , your engine will be breaking soon , the 302 windsor in the 500-550 is very fragile , and in the 600's , the engine will split soon , Take it to the workshop and lower the boost for tne drag race , for avoiding breaking the block in high speed , and later , change it.
In the 480, 500 range will be good , Maaybe 520 , but if you want to run the car without spliting at more than 150 mph , lower the boost and the power for safety. With the 600hp , in less than 200 meters your block will split. In the 480-500 range , the engine will be safe in the drag strip. Added 6 minutes later: # DFRacing98 : I've taken the engine apart, there were no cracks. I haven't even started it since I took it apart. But the block is the problem , not the heads , And if the owner barely run it , the engine will last , a bit more , because the 5.0 windsor block doesn't support more than 550hp , and it yours support 600 , is because the engine is almost new and isn't raced , If u race with the 600hp , in 200 meters or little more , your block will be spliting , at high speed , and you will be crashing ur mustang. I recommend you to lower the boost in the 480-500 range , with that the engine will last much more , but you will be changing the engine soon because isn't safe to run with a car with the risk of spliting block at high speed , you know Added 1 minute later: for this race i recommend you to LOWER THE BOOST Lower the power until the 480-500hp range , the engine will last much , and in the race the engine will last without spliting the engine Added 3 minutes later: look this , imagine this occurring at more than 120mph , this turbo 5.0 notch got 601hp , so very the same with ur car , maybe in the start your engine will be spliting like in this car This post was edited by Mr.Stance (2018-06-24 00:29, ago) |
