editable poly doesnt add triangulation, he could have converted to editable patch...
if you wanna remove those triangles just go on editable poly mode, select for edge, select every triangle and search on the right column the "edit edges" popup menu so press its first button called "remove".
Et voilà, le jeux sont fait, you've got a detriangulated whateverisit(isnt faster make a brand new box? lol)
