I think I know how to solve the nexus might be the same with BB93's phone when you plug it in go into settings and find storage. Then there should be something in a corner that gives more options and find "USB computer connection" and chack the "Media device" box. That's how it is with my Nexus 4 and it should be the same with both of yours.
