So, started working on the Legacy today... On my birthday. I love just burying myself in a car and forgetting about the problems of the world. First things first, that front bumper had to come off, so I removed it!
Then I gave the car a bath.. Then removed the wheels to look at the brakes. They were WORN OUT and had to be replaced. The suspension was shot too. Then pulled off the hood to get a look at the engine... I basically sent that off to get rebuilt Totally stripped the car and found out the rear, under the seats, had rusted out, so added some sheet metal to my shopping list for later... I took the GMC cuz I could carry the most in it, and I needed ALOT of stuff, and some pink coupe wanted to race me. I had the injectors turned up today and once the turbo had spooled up, he had no chance... I also picked up a rally hood and a rollcage. I test fitted the two, then removed them and set them in the corner Installed the suspension and removed hood (kept rollbar cuz its hard to remove) and installed the suspension. Full set of Bilstein Rally shocks and springs, with 330 mm cross drilled rotors and 6 piston Brembo calips. Got the engine back and it looks sweet!! Also fitted the rims, which look SWEETER! Painted the mismatched parts and fitted the exhaust tip, brake light, and Thule Roof Rack. I have a feeling that this will be my daily for quite some time... |
