# BLiTz : No man ill tell you its completly useless to go full ham on the new 6600k and ddr4 mobo and ram.I went to my pc shop and the dude working there since 2005 told me that amd and intel are going to roll a new gen of cpus so i wouldn't bother upgrading right now...i understand you but its not worth spending extra 200-500 euros now when you can get ddr3 and spend more on gpu/i7 or wait til next year so they'll get even cheaper
Thing is the difference it makes isn't actually that big, and even if I'd go older gen I'd still not be able to go for a better gpu or an older i7.
Difference between a boxed i5-4690k and a i5-6600k is like 5-6 euros.
Difference between RAM price is less than 10 cent per gb for Crucial RAM
Difference between mobo price is 20 euro, that means that I'd spare about 26 euro, which I won't be able to spend on anything else either, the reason I'm doing this is also because I've always heard that building on the newest platform is always the best choice.
But I still have a couple months before I get this pc (I'll get it around Christmas) so I'll see if anything new comes out.
