Alright, so, I ended up selling the 283 for 2000 to this guy and his son who are putting it inside a restomod Bel Air Nomad. Nice! Anyway, so with nearly 27gs burning a hole in my pocket, I just had to splurge a bit. So, while I was shitposting on 4chan, I also ordered a 454 BBC (Not BigBlackCock you perv, BigBlockChevy) and a Summit Racing dual carb and tunnel ram set up for eight grand in total. I'm still on the hunt for a good 4 speed, so there's that. Also, I got the truck a name, "C10FOLD", and I also got my wheels and tires today. As you can tell from my earlier posts, I am all about period correct. So, I got myself some steelies and cheater slicks. 11s on the rear, 8s on the front. I also finally got the bed off, and I really like the look of just having the chassis. Anyway, enough of drooling on your computers, keyboard warriors, it's time for the pictures.
'It's okay senpai, it can fit!' A sneak peek from the lower quarter. You can also see the steelies and the Hurst decal on the tires. Now, for the reason I bought a C10 and went bedless. Who can say t h i c c Those tires are meatier than my GF's ass.....if I had one. Ehh, I like cars more than women anyway. Budgets: Selling the 283 +2000 454 and carbs -8000 Wheels and tires -1000 Total $ left over: 17885 |

Heyo friendos, it's been a while, but I have my reasons. You know, reasons why this thread has been more dead than a gorilla in a Cincinnati zoo.
So, let's start from, say, a week after my last post here. Now, I don't know much about buildings in general, but I know how to furnish and such. Back to buildings, I suppose that some warehouses in Los Angeles are fans of The Doors, because baby, their fire was lit. "OH SHIT! THAT IS!"
In Loving Memory of:
Volkswagen 'Stinkbug' Bug, 1966-2016 and Chevrolet 'C10 Fold' C10 Fleetside, 1960-2016 Gone. But not forgotten. If there's any bright side, I had gotten the cars appraised by my insurance a week or two before the fire, so I got decent payouts for them. More specifically, 6,000 for the Bug, and 7500 for the C10. [I looked up actual prices for these, so don't start throwing accusations :^)] So, for around a month or so, I had to catch rides from around while the insurance company made sure the fire wasn't arson. Even better, the lease on my house in Glendora expired, so I had to live off one of my friend's couches while trying to unfuck everything. Then, well, then things got better. For one, as some people here may have noticed, I got hired by Speedhunters, and that's great for obvious reasons. And another, I managed to get full ownership of a teeny two story warehouse in the actual Los Angeles. Inheritance, right? I didn't even know him! I had to pay inheritance taxes on it, but it's completely paid off! It's got a decent garage as you'll see, but the entire 2nd floor is my living space, so no pics of that unless you happen to see it yourself during a party or whatever. Oh yeah, once everything is up and going, I might throw a party or two. Finally, 3rd good thing, after nearly 3 months of #NOCAR, I finally picked up my new daily/project/touge weapon. Hint: It doesn't have pistons. Hint: The average shopping bag has more displacement. If you guessed a FC Mazda RX-7, you're winner! Niiiiiiiiick, show us already! Fine. [Also, comparing me to Nicholas Wilde will be received with an instant 'Fuck off'. I've heard all of them already.] Before I show the pics, imagine the typical RX-7. You know, turbo, alloys, nice spoiler that's not too big or not too small, and a decent amount of power. Because this is not one of them. It's got nothing to really brag about besides the AC, which blows cold: a necessity in Los Angeles summers. Aside from that, it's a pretty lowly RX-7, if there is such a thing. Ugly front plate mount? Check. Don't worry, I yanked that bitch out after these photos were taken. Also, you can't see it as well in this picture, but; Words do not describe how disappointing it is to own a non-turbo rotary. Seriously, it's like BRAAAAAAAAAA- ...... When it should be BRAAAAAAAAAA-Pshhhhhhh So yeah, turbo is one of the first things that's getting done to this, after wheels and tires, which is after the suspension because the previous owner nonironically installed Raceland coilovers. Unsurprisingly, they blew, and now the car's riding on whatever's left down there. Also, I've gotta get rid of those steelies. To the credit of the previous owner, they did some things pretty well. They installed a Turbo II hood with not fitment issues, and a RHD swap that was actually done well. Don't worry, the back seats were yanked out after these photos. But, by far, my biggest issue with this car is: No wing. Seriously, it looks so plain it almost hurts. I'm gonna fix this ASAP. All in all, as much as I've ragged on this car, I feel a genuine connection with it. Maybe it's because our stories are both underdogs coming to the top types? I dunno. But, I've already laid claim to it with a sticker of my proper handle and it's accompanying logo. No, I'm not a furry. Don't even ask. Don't yiff me or the dog. Oh, shit, right, I got a doggy! He's a lazy fuck of a Basset Hound, but he's pretty chill, I guess. Now, for the 'fun' part. Finances: What I had: 17885 Insurance for the Bug: +6000 Insurance for the C10: +7500 Payday ((Never collected it since I started the thread)): +8460 Inheritance Tax on the warehouse/loft: -5000 Furniture and garage stuff: -3499 (THANK YOU IKEA) Buying a hooptie 1989 Mazda RX-7: -1505 (I bargained him with a Little Caeser's Hot n Ready) Pupper: -35 Total: 29806 Somehow, I came out on top on all of this. Wow. LTB: Turbo II motor/13b turbo kit, a spoiler, real suspension, and wheels + tires Also, as a Speedhunter, it's my job to feature cars on here. Please don't PM me, if I'm interested, I'll contact you first. |

Oh boy, do I have news for you guys! For starters, nothing much had happened in the past few days except I redid some furniture layouts around the place.
But, this morning, I wake up, feed the pupper, and go up to my roof to watch the LA skyline. And a few minutes into it, this happens: So now you're wondering, 'Man, what happened to Nick to make him swear like that in a text conversation?' Well, watch this first. And then take a look out what Larry showed up riding shotgun in. Magnus. Fucking. Walker. was in my garage looking over the FC. complemented my warehouse conversion. said it reminded him of his own house, but more humble. I didn't feel like I was in my own body shaking his hand, I was so starstruck. As I pointed out things on the FC, Larry suggested: "Why don't we hit it?" WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO*COD KID SCREAMING INTENSIFIES*So yeah, that's my day. I'm still LTB everything people offer, so offer up. Please, this FC needs to get unshit-ified ASAP. |

Alright, major update inbound, so hide yo' kids, hide yo' wife, cause that's a vintage meme that can take your life.
Nah. In actuality, on Saturday I went down with good ol' Larry to Crown Autoworks's LA location (duh) to pick up what I had ordered, a modded FD3s 13B-REW TT. Now, when we were doing the swap, I was far too distracted to take pictures, but I did snag this while I was tuning it. ((No comment)) She revs strong, and pushes roughly 400 horsepower thanks to the aftermarket turbos and other mods, such as the street port. Also, the flutter is insane, she chirps like a parakeet in the trash compactor. Also, now people can finally identify my car as the car of a Speedhunter! ((You can buy the sticker here!)) ((Please buy it I'm poor)) Finally, while I was picking up the 13B, I impulse bought two Bride Zeta IIIs for only 700V$. Yeah, last time something I was in was this snug, when I came out that day became my birthday. Also, expect the Crown Autoworks article in a few days. Now for the fun part: Current: 29806 13B-REW: -3600 Brides: -700 Selling old seats: +350 Payday: +565 Fundip I snorted in front of Larry just to prove I could: -1 Winning Larry's bet that I can snort a four inch line of fundip: +50 Total: 26,470 V$ |

As for the articles, I can't say for certain, they come as opportunities for something to write about come around. |

So, what really makes a garage your garage?
If you ask me, its if the garage is just a plain utilitarian workshop, or if it has reflections of your personality dotted all over. Yesterday, I made the garage I owned, my garage. Far left: Hey, it's a good movie. Still not a furry. Middle: Griffith Observatory, one of the best viewpoints to see LA, apart from my roof. Right: The only acceptable anime ever created, not counting Redline, Akira, Initial D, Wangan Midnight, and Shakotoan Boogie. Left: The Wangan Route Right: Really cool vintage poster I found at a yard sale Anyway, back to actual car stuff. So, the other day I finally installed real suspension; KSport GT Pros. I was thinking about getting some placeholder for the BIG DADDIES, but I remembered what happened to the Racelands that were on this car, and said 'Screw it', and bought the BIG DADDIES right off the bat. Now they're installed, and the car does sit higher, but that's because it's my daily, and it's actually, well, suspended now. For reference, the Racelands had blown, and the car was riding on the struts like the Chasing Midnight car from Mighty Car Mods. (That hovercraft fitment makes me cringe, but there's other things to be done first) While inside there, I discovered really how pathetic the stock brakes were on my FC. 2 piston disks on the front, 1 piston disks on the rear. I'm amazed I didn't die chasing Magnus Walker's 911 on Angeles Crest a few weeks back considering what I'm working with. So, next order of business, brakes. And to cap off this update, have everything new in one picture. Added 31 minutes later: Crap, forgot the finances. # Jdm_Racer : Nice FC manThanks friendo! Anyway, welcome Virtual Stancenation, this is your host Killer Nickstar, and let's get riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight into the news! Finally! I have gotten rid of those damn brakes, and those damn steelies, and that damn hover craft fitment! The wheels are Fifteen52 Tarmac F40 wheels, measuring 16x10 and having a dish so deep that I can fit like, 6 bags of fruit loops in there. Also able to be seen is the 276mm Wilwood Big Brake kit, 6 pistons on the front, 4 pistons on the rear, slotted and drilled. The tires are Dunlop Direzzas, they cling harder than my ex-girlfriend. Who can say t h i c c ? Now that I've finally taken care of my suspension, brakes, tires, interior, and driveline, it's finally time to focus on what needs some TL and C the most: the exterior. Uhh, Nick? None of Magnus's Porsches are yellow. Why is there a 1st gen 911 in your garage? Oh, don't mind me, I'm just making the worst decision of my life! Nick, how did you even afford one of these? You're so broke you went with a FC because you couldn't afford the FD.... That's the best part, it's so, so clean right!? I guess, but that's not answering my questions.... Alright, fine, it has some faults... Well, that's not bad. Why not get a set of the Fifteen52 wheels? But, how can you still afford any of this? Well, the answer's really simple. Oh, oh god. What happened? Oh, just a rear end collision and the fact that the motor turns freely, but hasn't been started since the Clinton Administration, and also has an incomplete set of OE wheels and the front right corner is busted because it hit the curb after it got rear ended. So, what are your plans? Regret, Buyer's Remorse, Scotch, and hopefully death. /s As you can see, I bought a Porsche. Woo, yeah.... I really am going to regret this. Anyway, it's a 1972 911S, and for the most part it's complete, matching numbers, everything. Except for the hood, rear bumper, front bumper, alloys, suspension corner, and the fact that the motor hasn't been started for just about 10 years. God. Help. Me. More Porsche, yay! So, as you can see, today I got really bored and decided to tape up the headlights because thats really cool imo. Also, I fixed the 911's chronic mirrorlessness by installing one of Magnus's custom mirrors, only on the driver's side because I'm cool like that. Also, while the Porsche was at Magnus's, he installed one of his signatures: integrated 911R tailights. He also installed a new (to me) bumper, but he didn't have any hoods he could give away. So close I can almost taste it!
