Good work at keeping it stock-looking visually, yet different!

# Phonexius : Nice SX mate, btw did u decide on the engine swap for the r33?Yeah, and I'm picking up an engine for it tomorrow No modifications or Skyline updates today, but, I did take the 240SX out for a shakedown. I might end up swapping the welded differential out for a proper LSD, because I do not plan on drifting this car. Also, registration! $7500 + $470 (Paycheque) = $7970 ((OOC EDIT: Specs are no longer wrong.)) This post was edited by ThatBoostedGuy (2017-02-06 21:42, ago) |

I love the way you put the lettering in the pictures and the burnout looks so cool! Do you plan on using it as a driver or track day or race car or drag car...?

I do plan on setting it up for autocross eventually. |

# Phonexius : Bruh give us the R32 Info xD you know that I am pumped up about itSoon... In other news, I bought a Honda. "why though?" Well, I could have rented a truck to pick up the engine, but where's the fun in that? The 240SX has a full interior and I intend to keep it that way. The fun part of this purchase is, when I'm done hauling an engine around, I can finally have a backroad beater. If the car wasn't so bad I'd daily it, but, that's out of the question. I paid $750 for this abominable little shit. My Bummer Car Poor quality replica wheels [x] Oil burning SOHC 1.6l [x] The worst RHD swap known to man [x] Broken gauge cluster [x] Awful alignment [x] Gutted interior [x] "Racing" seat [x] JDM Quick-release FL window [x] Broken exhaust hanger [x] Horsepower [ ] Street cred [ ] Now, for the moment nobody has been waiting for, pictures! About the quick-release window that I listed, the driver's side window has a fun habit of either sliding off the track. The car currently has no license plates, but, I might be able to get it registered. If not, I'll transport the engine at night on backroads. Who cares about being legal anyways? /shrug $7970 - $750 (Honda Civic) = $7220 This post was edited by ThatBoostedGuy (2017-02-06 21:43, ago) |

The car doesn't want you to spend any money on it either.
Clearly, it's more suicidal than half the internet, so make sure to blow that engine up. |

# FastCars : Man i like that Honda, everyone dogging on it like my irl car. (which is a 2003 Kia Spectra)They're just jealous of my reasonably priced used car. (I'd lowkey only pay six dollars for the Civic.) But, here's some more on my unreasonably priced car since I don't have a motor for the Skyline yet. I ordered this stuff a while ago and it arrived yesterday night. I installed everything this morning with the help of a few friends. The 240SX is really starting to come together. Also, I'm not about that ebay life, all of the parts that go on this car are going to be legitimate. I moved back into a larger garage, trying to shuffle three cars around in that tiny shop was awful. Now, I have lots of room for my automotive shenanigans. $7720 - $1800 (Advan RGII w/tires) - $300 (D-Max rear overfenders) - $400 (Kouki tail lights & centre garnish) - $100 (326Power lip spoiler) - $50 (Stock rear bumper) - $90 (Type-X rear valances) - $1500 (S13 nose cut) = $3480 This post was edited by ThatBoostedGuy (2017-02-06 21:43, ago) |

So, I really like the SilEighty from Initial D...
I decided to paint my car blue. It's not an exact replica, as the colour isn't accurate among other things. Though it does look fairly similar. This is the second round of paintwork I have had done on this car, and I think it was worth it 100%. I think it looks fantastic. It was cheaper this time, as I went with a different paint shop. $3480 - $600 (paint) + $565 (paycheque) = $3445 |

*record scratch
*freeze frame* Yup, that's me. You might be wondering how I got myself into this situation. Earlier today I was hauling ass crusing 5mph below the posted speed limit in the Civic down Highway 74, when suddenly I felt the car start to shake. The front left corner dropped, and I could hear the sound of metal grinding against the road. In my rearview I could see my tire, and bits of my wheel. Yeah... Don't buy reps, kids. In a desperate attempt to throw it into neutral, I dumped the car into third gear by mistake(mind you at the time I was almost hitting the rev-limiter in fifth gear). The revs shot up, and a loud bang echoed out from the underside of the car. The Civic skidded towards the guardrail, making contact with it. It bounced to the opposite side of the road before finally stopping. Smoke began to pour of from under the hood and the interior vents. I frantically gathered my items and clambered out onto the road. Within minutes the Honda was completely engulfed in flames. If I had have been smarter and carried a fire extinguisher, the car might still be here. I'm not to upset about the incident. If it were my 240SX or my R32, I'd be pissed. In this case I can forgive myself since I didn't put any effort into this car, and I just assumed from day one that something like this was going to happen. |

Thanks for the concern everyone. I've just taken some time to decompress for a bit. Though, earlier today I took the 240SX down Highway 74, the same road the Civic caught fire on.
Shown in the pictures is the work of my new friend at the paint shop and I. We deleted the rear defroster, wiper, and my Type-X aero. Speaking of that, If anybody wants to buy my Type-X sideskirts and rear valance, let me know. I'll be making a list of the parts I don't have on the car right now, and posting them on the classifieds soon. So keep your eyes peeled. The extra parts that came with the car when I bought it were given to a friend. Basically, anything that was installed on the car when I bought it, and isn't now, I still have laying around. I also sold my RB26 to Skip, who should be coming to pick it up in a week or so. $3445 + $3800 (Sale of RB26 to Skip) = $7245 This post was edited by ThatBoostedGuy (2017-02-06 21:44, ago) |
