Ebisu is always fun, i was there once and i loved it!! Too bad that your engine blew, but at least it lasted for a few laps. Hope they can fix it up for you, and i think you should have already got a new daily cause your 86 became more "not daily".

Well, that took quite a while wasn't it?
As you might remember, my car broke and i left it at ebisu for a week, also i need a new engine since it was busted. Anyway before i left it for a week, i bring it to K-Style to get it swapped. I've been preparing everything so when i came back, it's all already done. And i came back. Aesthetically, my car doesn't changed much except i've removed the rear wing because the frame is kinda loose. I don't want to see it bounce off through my rear mirror. Anyway, wondering what engine i've put into my weeb 86? - - - Told you that i'm going to do nuts. VR38DETT transfused straight from 2009 Nissan GT-R, with Greddy headers, set the boost to low because i'm a fucking pussy, so it "only" boasts about 584HP. How do i get it? well, Kumakubo-san offered me to trade this with my old FA, though as obvious i had to pay some additional price. This engine was actually an abandoned one and used to be Kumakubo's pet projects until he doesn't really feeling it anymore. As you might knew Kumakubo is known with his Impreza drift machine (other than his lancer, i know about it either lol don't worry) and i guess he'll need this engine in case of spare. Cuz boxers, you know. Took it to Ebisu Nishii for a bit of running test. As you might expect the difference between VR38 and FA20 is quite a lot (duh) so i've expect some kick, and holy shit it kicks hard. trying to push it on the hairpin.... aaand nailed it. I'm giggling like an idiot. Also probably this is the first time i did not fuck up anything. As everything is done i've thanked Kumakubo san and the whole Ebisu/K-Style crew and drive home. ...And there goes my Ebisu experience. I'm definitely gonna be back sometimes! ----- Nothing feels better than home, right? after all those shenanigans i've managed to bring my baby back, and everything goes happily ever after. Oh yeah, remember that i've planned to buy a daily? well, i've done it. Nothing special though, as i just want took it as my daily driven. Well, what is it, you wonder? Here's the teaser. Full feature coming soon. |

That's a great choice for a daily, just try to keep it that way haha.
Your 86 reminds me of the "WTF86" with the VR38! But it needs a new wing ASAP, maybe also a badge on the front bumper as i probably already told you. |

Here's my stagea i've been told you guys about. 1997 Nissan Stagea X. RB25DE, and it's a 2WD, not a thing that you called as a monster but pretty enough to do it's thing. somehow i got this wheel from the previous owner. Y'all must be knew where this wheel coming from. I've been doing nothing for the car itself except putting some stickers for the business purposes. Don't worry as you won't find this car drifting and dominating on your nearest touges. I won't change a lot of thing from this car since i want to use it as the operational car to our garage. Gotta use this for delivering things and bobs. Anyway, if you're wondering how my 86 look like.... nothing really changed except i put those AVS F7 wheels with a brand new Pandem wing on it, nothing special (sorry for not updating for a few weeks, been in a holiday and pretty much no internet.) -WARNING! LONG POST. A LOT OF PICS COMING THROUGH!-
Oh, it's been a while since i update my progress, The workshop's has been making me busy lately and it spent almost all of my time in the last few week, so no car updates. But hey, hard work pays well, right? Well few days after all those things were done, my internet friends (remember the paint guy? same people.) invited me to attend this Season's Tsukuba Track Day simply for fun. Y'all ever heard of Tsukuba, right? The Time-Attack mecca, something-something Option magazine,Battle Motoring.... Dunlop Bridge? Well long story shot there's a track event that always been held in every season. It consists of car show, drifting event and amateur/pro time attack event. We doesn't plan to enter the last two because, well, it's a show car. Well until some of ours misread the event discipline.... We've been listed as the Time Attack entrees. Like what the fuck dude we doesn't have a preparation for anything and 5 minutes later we've been put into racers' paddock. Compared to others' car we're a bunch of lookers, but you know that's not the important thing in a time attack event. (also the decals in the window has been remove for compability sake, i haven't could make them separable.) As the predictable it is our car stole the most attention. For a few minutes we consider to cancel our entrees but in the end we just like "fuck it and lets have some fun." Glad we're in the Amateur class though, otherwise we're gonna be humiliated so, fucking, hard. As nervous as fuck i am i'm entering the pitlane. I don't want to push so hard since my car was basically an half-assed drift car and i don't bring any spare wheels at the moment. As i launch into the track i could feel the VR38 kicking in. The engine was fucking amazing.... Unlike my driving skills. In a range of 5 minutes i got a few lap times... Reaches 1:11 while the others mostly got lower than 1:04... Not bad for the car with drift setup... It's actually pretty fucking terrible, but oh well. --- After all those fuck ups i park my car back while taking my Camera. I took some pics from the both Car Show and the Pro Time Attack event. Sadly the camera battery died before i able to took some pics from the Drifting event. Saw a S15 Silvia with brand new D-Max Bodykit. Intrestingly this car enters the Time Attack event while people mostly thought it was a Drift car from it's D-Max kit. Someone's bring the Supreme F348 into the race track. As you might predict it was struggle to go fast since the car used to be a show car while sitting pretty, like too much. i-don't-know-what-the-fuck-is-this. Pretty fast, though. But this one. Kakimoto NSX. Nobody bats an eye when it left the paddock, then 54 seconds later, BAM. everyone's looks in amaze. And it's the overall winner. How predictable! After the event ends we had some our private gathering and some beers later we decided to took off and the next day i've arrived at home safely. I Had a lot of blast, like fucking lot. Now i had an urge to build a race car... |

You can always make your 86 a race car! The time attack competition is amazing there, and you made a pretty good time with a drift car! Even if you were kinda slow compared to the others, at least you did some laps and had some fun, that's what events like this are all about.
(btw that Tsukuba looks way more detailed than the one in the download section, which one is it?) |

Also i had to ask for the permission if i want to release it publicly.) # juicybrate : Sick post ! respectthank you! # Soju : That's a sick collection of 86Yup! very glad to meet them irl. ^Thanks, i'd say get one while it's quite inexpensive these days
anyway henlo
So you might wondering why i haven't post any update in almost one month - because there's aren't any. I've been working hard to get myself a brand new car for my next project. You know money doesn't fall of from the sky in every week :^) As you might remember i've been thinking about making a time attack car. Why i don't use my 86, you ask? because it was ineligible. Time Attack doesn't condone any car with engine swapped. After a month of hard work i decided to bought this. 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V RS. Been in a lot of mileages, repainted (RS only came with pearl white mica IIRC) also the owner seems to change the wheel into that one that GSR badges originally had. Also, equipped best Lan Evo taillights, ever. Other than that there's aren't a thing that really changed that much, including the engines. Anyway i decided to bought a lan evo after i talked with Kumakubo-san and the other Team Orange guys about the Evo when i did my 86 swap few months ago. They said it was pretty nimble and pretty much a race ready machine, so i decided to give it a try. After a few moments of registration and a bit of test drive, i decided to reassemble the car while checking for any chassis dents or damages. Other pics i take when i did the re-assemble. People would says it was a waste of time (which it is lmao) but i really wanted to make sure if it's in the prime condition. And everything seems fine. Next step, chassis reinforcement! Will update pretty soon. |

Things has been pretty good so far. So yeah, i've done the chassis reinforcement. I was supposed to update it on this thread but since i also ordered some running gears so i think i had to delayed it for a bit. I ordered HKS Hipermax Suspension and some AP Racing Brakes. Big Diameters for Big Action. I finished it with TE37 Time Attack Ed and Advan A308 Rubbers. Talking about chassis, i've been putting some rollcage as well. Sadly since it was a full-fledged rollcage i think this won't be a street-legal car anymore unless i got caught by police by driving it on public roads lmao. Also i've installed a Recaro Bucket seat. I've tweaked the engine for a bit. Now it's boosted by HKS GT3240 turbo, boasting about 570 Horses. Don't worry about the internal since i have modified it aswell, no more stock stuff! Anyway, as anything has been modified, bar the body parts (some of my friend had a CFD Programs and i asked for help about it) I think i had to test it somewhere. Sadly Asan Circuit is closed at the moment (also driving a bare car in a circuit would be a no-no) so i had to test it somewhere. I had a friend who serves at the docks and probably he will allow me to do a run at night, where there's no activity there - and he gladly did. Since the body parts was non-existent so there's virtually no downforce so the thing that i could do is testing the slow corner speed to check out how the car's mechanical grip produces. to be quite honest it wasn't what i expect but i'm quite satisfied so far. As the night goes darker i decided to call it a day. Anyway i heard that there's a track day event somewhere (i don't really remember where it is, i'll check it out later) so if the car's ready i'll use it as a testbed. Well, if the body are ready at time. If it's not, then i had to do my own way - gonna talk more about it later. |
