Paint!Like the title says, my 180 has been painted.Wasn't planning on getting it painted so soon but after I side-swiped a wall at Mobara, I finally had a reason to get my pos painted. Took longer than usual because I got my bay airbrushed with a design. Like I said I had an "accident" at Mobara, what happened was that a tire blew while transitioning and sent me off into a wall. I just scratched up my paint badly, but luckily I only kerbed my teardrops a bit. Car was running fine after the little mishap. At least until it overheated anyway. Better radiator coming soon. I was sent this shot of the car during painting with the first coat of primer on. It's nice to see it finally painted a single color. I got it painted to a Gunmetal Gray with Lime Green door sills and engine bay. The engine bay being the main attraction. It cost me V$1,500 for the paintjob, inside and out. I love this engine bay. I could stare at it for daaaysss. I had been picking up some parts while the car was in for paint. I got Chrome D-Max tail lights from UpGarage for V$630 and a Nardi Classic from UpGarage too for V$135. Next thing up is probably Underglow. Love underglow. Plates and stuff are back on now after the paint fully settled. This post was edited by skip (2017-11-04 20:45, ago) |

Didn't want to pick black tail lights because I would look like I'm in the mafia lol. Designing a simple livery for it now. It'll be printed in-house too at Art Of Wheel. Chrome and Liveries.Hey guys, me again.Back with more unimportant mods to my 180SX. In reality I should be getting a new radiator, non rusty brakes, fix my electrical issues, rebuild my engine since its in need of fixing but that can all wait. Looks>working tail lights. So I dropped five g-notes on some parts from Maikeru. I bought a semi-built 1JZ (rated at ~450hp on low boost according to Maikeru), a 5 lug swap w/ 18 inch Work VS-KF's and coilovers (for a different car eventually). Yes it is a lot of money but oh well, I'll get it back some day (I wont) The new livery that's on the car was printed at Art of Wheel, where I work. It was free, s/o to Phonexius for that. Ebisu was open this weekend so I went to the track for a few laps. I bought a set of R33 wheels in UpGarage on the way for V$430, with tires. It was a 3 hour journey to Ebisu from Yashio, where I live. I got there at 1:30pm exactly, got on the track for a while and did a few laps. No accident this time, besides the left sideskirt coming off on the last lap. It was a really good day out there. I can feel the lack of power from the SR20DE, it's nearing the end of its life too soooooo.......... 1JZ swap incoming. Got home at ~7:30pm, got the 180 washed too. That's it for now anyway. Bodykit coming soon hopefully, probably not though. I'm too poor now. This post was edited by skip (2017-11-25 00:05, ago) |

# itsLight : I personally preferred the SSR Meshes to the VSKF's you're running right now, but other than that, your RPS13 looks sick. FollowingThanks! I liked the SSR Meshes too but I was running it waayyyy too low and I didn't want to risk my suspension and/or engine. It looked kinda dumb with the suspension higher so I swapped them out. I change my rims every now and then too, these probably won't stay for long either. I want to change to 17s soon too, these VS-KF' s were a bit big so if someone wants them, hmu. 18". # saletl : Great ride man. Love to see the progress. Thanks! Chrome didn't last longNeeded to make a post about my new wheels. The VS-KF were too big and bright, after a while of looking at the 180 like that I wanted to change them. I sold them to Lagano -(check him out here) and bought a set of Kei Office Dori Dori in 17 inch for V$1300, without tires from UpGarage. I got tires from Art of Wheel for free since I work there. I got them wrapped in a set of Toyo Proxes, they gave them a nice stretch. I also bought some Minty.Fresh x Garage Moon Power floormats for V$77. Also fitted a cup holder and an A'Pexi FC Commander, supplied from Art of Wheel for free too. It makes the interior more me lmao (s/o to yurisminator for the mat textures) I took it out for a drive after I fitted the DoriDori's, the steering is a lot lighter now that they are smaller. They match a ton better than the VS-KF's. (lowkey just wanted McDonald's) Just realized I forgot to put my Type-X skirt back on after fitting the wheels. ffs. That's it for now. Eyeing up a new bodykit too, this means I will be selling my Type-X kit sooo if you want it hit me up. This post was edited by skip (2017-11-19 16:18, ago) |

i couldnt think of a titleLike I said, I was getting a bodykit for my 180. Over the past week and a bit I've been working on it and getting it all fitted right. Lots of cursing, blood and google searches later, the bodykit still isn't fitted without cable ties. I bought a Origin Aggressive line Type-II Front/Rear Bumper and Sideskirts from Origin for V$1,085 and BN Sports Blister overfenders (front/rear too) for V$519 each. They'll be painted when I am swapping my 1JZ in. The SR20DE is on it's way out anyway, but if you want it send a message my way and I'll gladly sell it to you. The 180 sat in the AOW shop all dis-assembled for over a week. looked pretty shit sad every time I walked by it coming into work. I cut the rear panels so I can go lower and fit my overfenders without rubbing. Without it I'd be chewing tires like crazy. At this point we had mocked up what the bodykit would kinda look like when it was fitted. They were mainly stuck on with tape and didn't give a vision of what it would look like at all. I'll finish it off tomorrow when I get into work. Shouldn't take too long, hopefully. If I'm not a lazy pos like I usually am. So while the 180 was getting partially rebuilt, I needed some way to travel around. I was watching this R34 for a while now, saving up my money till I could afford it. I bought it for V$5,690 and I couldn't wait to get it. Me and Lagano went to pick it up from the auctions. My good friend Nobuo (he bought my last cars at auction for me) told me he got it. He has a dealer's license so only he could buy it. I always wanted one, so I just said fuck it and bought it. Real advert:SkylineIt has a RB25DE NEO, it's automatic and is in need of some loving. Nubuo sent me this pic of the engine bay before I bought and im too lazy to go take another pic. The person who owned it before me was definitely a big smoker, but I suppose most of Japan is. The stench of smoke was insaaane. We drove home and it got pretty late, we had to stop for fuel and had a general look at the car at the petrol station. It didn't overheat when I was driving it and everything seems to be ok, just need to do general maintenance as you do. We got home around ~11:30, and the Skyline drives so comfortably since it's auto and stock suspension. Although this won't last long, since I like to ruin every car I own ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Mods coming soon.
I'm also selling stock 180sx seats, front fenders, stock chuki rear bumper, Type-X skirts, Type-X wing. Message me if you want any, I'll tell you the price too. This post was edited by skip (2017-11-25 10:54, ago) |

title v2So like I said yesterday I would be fitting the bodykit completely.I finished fully fitting it after work and then checked over the car since me and Lagano are going to Ebisu tomorrow. Drove it home after and I am kinda running out of space on my drive. With 3 cars it's kinda....... cramped. Especially since I'm in Tokyo. The 180 should be getting paint sometime after Ebisu. I'm gonna be swapping my 1JZ in so it gives me a chance to fully gut the car and respray it. Really happy with how it looks as of now. If anyone is selling Bride/Recaro bucket seats let me know, I'm looking for some. I've bought coilovers for the Skyline, they won't be fitted for a while though. Once the 180 is started I probably will start working on it, looking for a nice exhaust from UpGarage to fit later on too. |
