As you all know there was a huge meeting at Nikko circuit, Skip and i went there to check out the guys from the forum. The cars were really nice, we saw some great drifting too!
There was 11000rpm with his JZX100 drift car, Soju with his beautiful Supra, Bad.Compqny with his S13 missile, Mackay with a E46, Holeecrab with his sick VR38 swapped GT86 and more! Skip decided not to drift his 180 because it was a little beaten up from a Mobara drift session with Renaruto. One of the tires blew and we hit a wall, pretty scary moment but it was nothing major, we just changed the wheel and drove off to Nikko. When we got back home, we started to work on my S14. It has arrived a few days ago, and so did the RB26. Before swapping it in i needed some more parts to make everything work so me and Skip paid a visit to UpGarage again, he bought some stuff for his 180 too. We bought a Nismo LSD for the S14, and a custom driveshaft made for RB swapped S chassis. It works with a RB25 RWD transmission and my RB26 has it, so we chose the right part. The engine mounts needed some adjustments to fit with the RB26 because of its oil pan, but after that it fit like a glove! Fortunately there was enough space for the piping, intercooler and everything. The engine was in place, then we installed the transmission, driveshaft and differential. While shopping in UpGarage i also found this GP Sports exhaust system, i almost forgot my S14 didn't have one yet. First i took off the Top Secret diffuser cause the exhaust tip wouldn't fit there otherwise. The pipes didn't really fit with the headers and downpipe but Skip managed to fix that. Thanks mate! Long story short, my S14 now runs and drives! I did a quick test down the street as you can see. Well the main part is done but there's a whole lot of wiring problems. Most of the electronics don't work at all, hopefully that will get sorted out asap. Now Skip's 180 needs some repairs, it's about to get painted too so i'll have some work for the next few days, hope i'll have some time for the S14 though. Stay tuned for more updates from Japan and the States! |

I love that sleeper style of your S14. Also a really nice colour. As mentioned... I'm interested in those stock bumpers.

I finally managed to sort out the electronics on my Silvia, now everything is connected properly. Basically everything on the car worked and being pretty much stock it was ready for the shaken to get inspected and registered. Before that i fitted R34 GTR seats that i brought with the car. I also brought a set of VStanced plate covers, stickers and some goodies from our shop, i'll use all this on my Silvia later on. I can't wait for some mods but i'll have to because Skip got some new parts for his 180, check out his RP too.
And another update from 3Style back in the States: he got his car registered as well and did some changes to it. First he took off the 535i badge on the trunk, it looks much cleaner now. He also found a set of BMW Style 20 Turbine rims with tires, i think they are from a M5. It's a bit lower now cause he cut the springs. This is just a temporary fix, he's planning to get some coilovers so it'll do for now. |

^ Yeah they're really good both for daily driving and racing!
Ebisu once againNothing changed on my S14 but Skip and i had a track day last weekend so i thought i should mention it. It was my 2nd time at Ebisu, but i didn't have a 1000+HP Porsche this time. (check it out here) As always there were all kinds of nice cars with very skilled drifters driving them. From missiles to pro drift cars, but hey, as long as it can drift it's good to go. Skip just changed his rear wheels then we did a few laps on the track. He was a bit low on power, especially for 18" wheels but he managed to do some skids anyway. Here's a pic just before going on the track: However i was the complete opposite, i had tons of wheelspin so i had to be gentle with the throttle. Another reason for going slower was stock suspension, the body roll was crazy lol. I need some coilovers asap. I wanted to modify my S14 for a while but didn't really know where to start. I got a set of Work VS-KF from Skip so that'll be the first thing to change, together with coilovers and a 5 lug conversion. I guess i'll have to go shopping to UpGarage again which means i'll probably buy some more stuff that i don't even need. This post was edited by Lagano (2017-11-19 21:10, ago) |

I was clutch kicking for days lol. The SR20DE is so gutless, i have to keep changing from 1st to 2nd through corners. Its really annoying.
Enjoy those VS-KF's, get yoself some rollovers and we'll fit them. Gonna have to fit something new to mine too... |

Ebisu once again... againHotboy wheels are now on the S14! Last week i decided to fit the VS-KF's on it but i needed 5 lug hubs before that so i did some shopping in UpGarage again. I also bought UP Spec coilovers and GP Sports knuckles. My Silvia had better fitment and more steering angle then, so of course we had to try it out on Ebisu at the weekend. Skip wanted to go just so his SR20 could give its last "hoorah" because a 1JZ is waiting for his 180. Before going on the track i changed the rear wheels to the ones i got from Saletl when i traded the stock bumpers for them. The tires are pretty worn out which is perfect for drifting. Rims have some scratches but they're alright for drift spares. We bumped into each other while checking out the cars next to the track, then we talked a bit and did a few laps. (check him out here) This photo seems familiar... I also fit a Nardi steering wheel that Saletl gave to me with those rims. It was way better to drive than last time, especially because of more steering angle! I had another set of rear wheels too so i didn't hesitate. I spun out once cause the tires were completely roasted. I changed the wheels again and the fun continued! The SR20 in Skip's 180 was barely holding on but this time he did better drifts cause he had less grip with 17" wheels. But that means his 180 got a bit lower, and his new bodykit is low too! I think he scraped it a few times. Long story short, Ebisu was a blast like always! I'll definitely have to drift my S14 some more. I'll change its looks too, i don't want to keep the 2 different black colors lol. Not sure about the rims as well but i have to represent our shop sponsor a bit. Expect some changes on Skip's 180 too! |

Where have i been this month? My S14 hasn't changed much, not what you'd expect. I didn't really know what to change, but i made it look a bit more complete with Navan rear valances, i had them in mind for a while. They weren't black when i bought them so i sent them to the paint shop to color match them. I also sent the doors, hood and fenders cause these parts were in a different shade of black than the rest of the car. I also slapped a few stickers on the windows just because Skip had tons of them laying around. I fitted cup holders and a boost gauge on the dash. I didn't really need it but it's fun to watch when the boost kicks in. That's it for now, but i already have a new set of wheels coming up, hopefully the S14 will look even better. Skip was planning to celebrate Christmas and new year in Ireland, so i planned to go back to the States then. However things got messed up last week. Just before we were going for a drive, Skip fell down the stairs and broke his arm! Not the best thing to happen for Christmas. (actually Skip's pc died so he couldn't update) Later that week we saw an upcoming drift competition at Ebisu so i guess we would stay in Japan anyway. What a coincidence. |

I thought it was kinda funny after I fell down. Didn't even realise I had broke my arm lmao, then the pain kicked in.
It'll be better for the competition though so it's ok. |

Drift car looks in progressI love the livery on Skip's 180 and drift car liveries in general so i decided to give it a try too. I've been thinking how to do it for a while but now there's finally something on the S14. I also tried the SSR rims i got from Marcus and they're staying on. The last thing i got was these Kouki side skirts for a bit more aggressive but still OEM-ish look. It was also easier to put the stickers on then. Livery is almost done so expect more pics of it soon! |

Goodbye x2Hey guys, my Silvia hasn't changed at all since the last update (except some stickers) but nevermind. Anyway, my trip to Japan has been long enough to make these two beauties with Skip. I'm going back to USA in a few days because i got a call from Phonexius, he said that he's going somewhere too but he didn't tell me where. Guess i'll find that out when i get there! I miss 3Style and the cars we have there, but i'll also miss Skip, these two S-chassis and Japan itself! This trip was longer than i planned but i was alright with it. We went on one last drive today, here's some pics. The more i look at them, the more i'll miss them... I'm quite happy with how my S14 turned out, but Skip's 180 is on a whole new level of cool. When we got back to Skip's place i checked my S14 one last time because it will be for sale in the used car section soon. I'll let him have some more fun with it though! When i come back i'll also have to check out 3Style's E34, it's getting better and better! These BBS wheels he found fit really well, he got some coilovers too. See you soon back in USA! And i'll have to visit Japan again sometime for sure. |

Back in the StatesAs i told you in the last update i met with Phonexius one last time. I've been in USA for a while now but i helped him move his cars and that took some time. I still don't know where he's moving to, he only told me that he gave the shop to me and Skip so i'll let myself be surprised then. What about this RX7? I almost forgot that i bought it! I bought it from Juancitoo while i was in Japan, the car was in Phoenix, AZ - not very far from the shop, he wanted to sell it quickly so i thought "why not?". I've always liked Mazdas and their rotaries, i bought a FD in Japan once and i loved it! Even if this one doesn't have a turbo i'm sure it's a very fun car to drive. I think ITBs make up for the lack of a turbo, can't wait to fire this thing up and hear it! There's also this Mark 2 that Skip bought before we went to Japan. It's one of the first, maybe even the first in USA. I've seen a few of these in Japan but i was still amazed when i checked it from up close. One thing i'm very happy about is that it's a manual because most of the cars like this are automatics. Another car that Skip left here is this shitbox. I'll have loads of fun with this one too! Well, drifting a RB26 powered S14 was a blast, but sometimes shitcars are just more fun. It'll take a while to try all these rides out. See ya! |

Japan again???Yes, i'm in Japan once again for STC88 Drift Con. It wasn't long before i got back to USA but when i found out about this event, i just had to give it a shot! Round 1 was held at Ebisu so i was pretty familiar with the track. It was all worth it though, because i got 2nd place! It was really fun, there were so many nice cars pulling off some amazing drifts. I also met Soju and 11000rpm, we've seen each other at Nikko last year too. But this time Soju finally got to see his previous S14 again. He was really happy to see it, just like i was happy to see his 180! It's so clean and simple, and both cars look so good next to each other. His runs were quite impressive too, especially for a stock S13! When i had seen it at the track i remembered Skip's 180 when it had a SR20DE just like Soju's. A few days later Skip showed up in this thing. He was a little better than me at the drift event so he got what he deserved. I'm sure he has some ideas about it so it probably won't stay stock for long. However he still has to make his mind up so we did some work on my S14. After some runs at Ebisu i noticed that the brakes were getting weaker. I could've fixed them but i was thinking about upgrading anyway so i bought a complete brake kit from a Z32 300ZX, i also got a set of wheels and a rear wing. It was plenty of work because we replaced the brake lines and master cylinder as well. I gave the wing to Skip because i thought it would look good on his S13. At the moment he's not sure about it but i guess that wing will be more useful for him. S14 will get some more upgrades soon to stay competitive for STC88 Drift Con round 2! |
