Wow, many things changed on the Supra! But still the same transmission, i'm disappointed. :P jk man you're doing great with it. When we will finish our project cars we will do a trip to some states, we might come check out this beast. :)

The supra is hot, hope that it doesn't get so much hot to get stolen again (I know the feel, R.I.P. S15) also as Lagano said in few weeks we might drop by at you for the promassed R32 vs R33 race that I asked when I bought the 32 ;)

Jake, the guy in town with another R33, let me borrow a new front lip he's going to put onto his car. It's a newer Nismo piece, unlike the 400R replica currently on my car.

He already painted it, and his car is a slightly different color than mine (Super Clear Red instead of Nismo Red), so the paint doesn't quite match on it. I'm tempted to get one of my own, but I like the intercooler vents in the 400R one, which I think I'd miss if I didn't have them.

What do you all think?

Current 400R

Newer Nismo (R-Tune?)

I decided to go with the 400R lip, because it's already on the car, and because I need the extra radiator opening. Thanks, everyone!

Nothing much on any of the cars, except that I've bought some various maintenance items for the Skyline for V$15.

i've got an R34 that would go really well with your R33. it's got 1100hp at the crank, it's dark red with Z-tune fenders, back bumper, and side skirts. it also has a genuine NISMO front bumper (i'll see if i can get my own RP going). it's a fun car. 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, 1/4mile in 9.2 seconds (on a prepped race track of course).

I just found out the most interesting little bit about my R33. Apparently the xenon headlights were not stock: apparently only mid-to-late 1997 and all 1998 cars had them, whereas no '96 S2 cars had them.

Oh well! Not as if it bothers me at all. They're important to the look, and they're hard to find.

Might be out of my price range! One of these things is enough of a major investment as it is.

BY POPULAR DEMAND.

(Psych! You thought I had bought the car already, didn't you?)

Chrysler Crossfire SE Roadster

Year: 2007
Miles: 82,000
Engine: Mercedes-Benz M112
- V6 SOHC 18V naturally aspirated
- Power: 215 HP @ 5700 RPM (factory indicated @ crank)
- Torque: 230 lb-ft @ 3000 RPM (factory indicated @ crank)
Transmission: Chrysler NSG370 6-speed manual
Color: Blaze Red Metallic exterior / black cloth interior
Condition: Good (let's hope it stays that way)
List of options: BONE STOCK.

I went and purchased this for V$9000 even from a private seller. (price references: 1, 2)

This is the SE trim level, which is a very slightly improved base model, but which is technically "worse" than the Limited.

I specifically sought out this model, though, because of a few things:
- The SE only comes in red - the Limited comes in red too, but...
- As a variant of the base model, it only comes with a manual - which is available (if sometimes hard to find) on a Limited too, but...
- The SE, unlike the Limited and SRT-6, has cloth interior instead of leather, which will be nice in the hot summer months; and
- ...unlike the base model, it comes in a color other than black!
- It also has rims like on the SRT-6, which is nice too. (It would technically have black-accented spokes IRL, but I couldn't be bothered to do that.)
- It does NOT have fog lights, though, which I kind of want and may install myself.

I got this because I wanted something with less than 300 horsepower as a slightly milder car for driving around in nice weather. I wonder how long it will stay that way? Maybe this will quickly end up being my third 600HP+ six-cylinder car painted red. Who knows?

(Can't be a daily because, lol, two seats and no room for groceries anywhere. Grocery shopping would literally be easier in either the Skyline or Supra, massive horsepower aside.)

The SRT-6 version is more powerful, but it's also rarer and more expensive, and I felt like that would have been too much of a collector's item for me. Meanwhile, the coupe doesn't come in SE trim, which means that either it's black or has leather interior or both. Weather in Arizona is nice for most of the year, so why not a convertible?

(Well, yes - crash safety, rollover protection, and rigidity are all good reasons to have gone for a coupe. Whatever. :P )

Some pics once I got it back to take a closer look at it, and after I changed the oil.

What do you all think?

Another thing I forgot to mention: The car has the red plate on it because I transferred the plate from another car. That plate has been on at least three of my cars already so far (Accord coupe, S14, a previous daily I didn't mention before).

# Phonexius : Hmmm interesting toy you got there mate, reminds me of an SLK Merc xD, good luck whit it, it was a great idea not to take a car whit leather seats :D
Thanks! I hope it works out, too. It probably reminds you of an SLK because it basically is one with a different body, by the way ;)

# Phonexius : Also what happened to that 6 speed manual for the supra :D
I haven't installed it yet. I'm thinking I may in fact keep the auto, or switch to the A760E 6-speed automatic from newer Lexus models, just because the automatic is nicer for drag racing once some new shift logic is installed. I may even put paddle shifters in. Still deciding; haven't done any conversion work yet.

# rOtary : Nice rides ! Try some white rims on the R33 and a darker red paint, would look nice i guess !
Hmm...
Nah. I like it the way it is, and I've already repainted the car once. Thanks for your input, though!

Nice. I also have a Red JZA80 Supra that's also turbocharged, but it had came that way with the manual transmission. I almost got all the parts for it. Just need the whole front end(headlights and front bumper). After i get done with it, maybe i should pay you a visit in Arizona so you can see it.

Thanks and lol that wont be fair since y'all got AWD, which means ima have to bring my Green R34 GT-R out. It's pushing close to 800hp and its lighter now. But I'd otherwise be down with the drag race.

Sorry for the lack of updates.

I headed out to Oregon a few weeks ago. There, I met up with the owner of that R34 from Alberta, since we were both going to be in the same place at the same time. His car is a kouki GT-R V-Spec II BNR34 in Black Pearl.

His car is still the single most impressive one I've ever seen, and he's been working on it since the last time we met. He's thrown most of the Top Secret aero catalog at his car, making it look very different from the last time I saw it.

Though it soon got dark where we met, I managed to take some decent pictures of his car.

He also let me see the engine bay - something he declined to do back in December. The engine is now running an OS Giken "RB315" bottom end and a big Borg-Warner EFR single turbo, bringing his car's horsepower total up to an easy 1100 at the crank. He's got my car beat, handily.

This was the first time since building my R33's big power engine that I felt like my car had been so thoroughly outclassed by another Skyline. It was inevitable, though - and to even be in the same league as something of this caliber is a high compliment.

This could very well be one of the fastest - and one of the nicest - Skylines in North America, new R35s excluded. Just knowing that it's out there is incredible.

We took a short drive, during which he did some short acceleration pulls and confirmed that, yes, his car is ludicrously fast.

As the evening wore on, it became harder and harder to take pictures of that inky silhouette of a car, but I think I managed.

It wasn't long before we parted ways.

That meeting got me to thinking about how I'd build an R34, if I had gotten one instead of my R33. In particular, I started thinking about the early R34 in Active Red.
I like the thought, but maybe not quite enough to say I'd take it over the R33 I have now. Still, though, an R34 would be an amazing car to own.

(OOC: Thanks, Adnan54, for a beta copy of the new BNR34 mod!)

I remember that R34, it looks much more aggressive than last year! And your R33 looks amazing next to it, even if it has a bit more subtle style and engine setup.
