I'm in JAPAN!

Hey guys, I came here to Japan because I want to visit my family since I'm on my big vacations and while I'm here I want to finally start "finishing" my drift s13 by swapping the engine from a SR20 to a RB26DET built which I am buying here and also buy some MAAAD bucket seats. So when I arrive in Spain, and after going to Portugal I can finally do a rollbar and maybe go on my 1st drift event (??).
When I arrived here, ramalhinho07 aka Ismael was waiting for us in his Toyota MkII and when I arrived at Michel's house (my brother in law) he lent us his Datsun/Nissan 1200 pickup with a CA18DET swap which drives pretty good.

Here are some pics:

This is what I'll be driving, with Jorge, until Friday, where I come back to Spain.
Now, I'm going to leave, because I'm literally dying from the airplane trip.

Hey guys, it’s been quite a while,

So, I bought a lot of stuff in Japan and I didn’t want to reveal it until I had everything here. Today arrived the missing parts so I can finally show you what I am going to do / done with my cars.
Firstly, there’s my drift car, the 180SX. I don’t want to go on a drift event with this shitty SR20DE because after changing every seal it still leaked and sometimes decides not to work, so when I was in Japan I wanted to buy another engine but wanted to do something different, like swapping and RB26DET to the car but my plans went to the gutter when I actually saw the price of getting forged internals. So what I got? Another 2JZ-GTE for it.

Because these engines are good, that’s why I already have 2 but I am hopefully going to sell my Gita in the future to buy my dream car, a Subaru Legacy SW gen 4 with an H6, so that I don’t have 3 cars with the same engine, etc.
Also I got the interior stripped, a complete rollbar, some Bride bucket seat with some takata harness for the inside and a legit D-MAX hood because of possible clearance issues when I’m going to swap the engine so mind as well swap it.

Lastly, I got a towbar for my Altezza Gita since I need to have a car that can tow a trailer for my 180sx when I get it done.

So it’s all for now guys, I am going to a drift event with my miata next Saturday and I’ll try go get some maad shots.
See ya!

Hey guys, finally an update.

Sorry for not updating you guys sooner but this week has been a total roller coaster, with Phonexius coming here for me to tune his HCR32 which btw, looks so awesome. Also, I've been going to the beach, and since I live in Madrid, I have to drive 2 hours to Barcelona so that I can enjoy the best of Spain, which is the Mediterranian Sea. Unfortunately I got sunburnt real hard and this hurts like a motherf*cker.

But enough of that, here's some updates on the 240sx. When I had free time, I started stripping the whole front of the car (front bumper, lights, hood, front guards)

I started to remove everything in the SR so I can remove it easier

Now I can remove the SR20 to cut and redo the hole front so that I can put the 2JZ without any problem and make the intercooler sit flush.

After spending about 400V$ in metal, I started to test my welding skills and made the front myself and looks like this:

That's all I have to say on the 180sx, in the next update I will have the engine installed and all the parts fitted. Also, I have to paint this so that it won't rust out.

Since I haven't been a lot at the shed and this is where I park my miata, because I needed to use the Gita so that I can transport the 180's bonnet to the wreckers, Jorge made me a little surprise:

The miata looks pretty funny! I won't be taking this out, since I will use it for Halloween.

That's it for now guys, see ya!

Hey guys, realy kick update:

So, next Saturday (the 23rd) I'll be attending a drift event near Barcelona with my good mate Jorge and I will be taking the miata there with the stock rims in the rear because I don't want to ruin the good tyres that are on the maxxim's (aka Equip replicas). Hopefuly I will get someone to take pictures and I'll be posting them here as well as finishing the 180sx. I am really stoked to see the 180 doing some MAAAD skids in a safe and controlled environment (or nah :P)

Oh and soon, after going to Phonexius HQ and put another Haltech in his Subaru (I <3 Subarus, btw) I'll be going to the US and maybe buy a car there since I'm going to stay for a month, basically.

See ya!

Hey guys!
Finally got some time to do an update.
So, I've finally "finished" the 180sx, which means I've put the engine in its new home.

While the engine wasn't here, I decided not to paint the front bar but I've put some anti-rust clear coat sorta thing.
After that, I've connected everything like intercooler, exhaust, oil cooler, etc. and filled her up with fluids and checked for leaks before I put the front bumper and lights and also tested the hood to check if it cleared the engine, which was a sucess!

After plugging the ECU, I fired the car up and *inhales* boi it sounds so good

And here it is the 2j in it's new place. Looks like it was meant to be in here

So, as you know, last Saturday (23rd) I've been in a drift event with my miata and Jorge went there also, and unfortunately his SR blew up :( . I've driven the car all the way and when I was coming back to Madrid, I had to "tow" his 180 into a Tow Truck company which was parter with his insurance, so he didn't had to pay a dime. But enough of that, here is a picture that I took while I was waiting for Jorge because he got lost.

The drift event was awesome! The car handled so good and I couldn't put the old rims since the tyres were totaly flat and I didn't had time to put air on them because I woke up late, as always, but here is a pic of the car skiding

So that's all for now guys, next stop Germany! And hopefully I can check a possible new daily (??)

See ya!

Jorge was following his E-Bay spec GPS and got him into a dead end street :))

Since you're going to be out between the 30th and the 3rd of August, I was thinking getting out of Spain in the 4th and probabily arriving there in the 5th of August and we are going straight from Spain to France and then Germany near Nancy (in France)

Hey guys, quick update!

Later yesterday, I was bored because Jorge flew to Japan so I started searching for pictures on my home computer and found some pics of the GS300 before I gave it to my dad.
PS: The plates aren't the same because they were "lent" (illegal plates :P ) since the car wasn't turbocharged yet and wasn't registered either

Today I will do my luggage to go to the US next Tuesday

See ya!

Wassup fellas! It's been quite a while! (21 days to be precise).
So, I've got a lot of sh*t to tell you.
First things first, by late November I'll be moving to Japan! Because my boss told me to be the manager of a New Haltech Dealer in Nishi-ku, Osaka since I'm known for tuning a lot of JDM cars.
But enough of that, I've been doing a lot of preparation, I went to Japan and sort a place to live, and see where will my new job be. I won't be paying anything in terms of house, since I'm not doing it because I want to, but because my job required me to do so, but I'm paying for the shipping of my cars.

So, I've prepared the Gita, it's already unregistered, and here's a pic of it

I've done a lot of stuff on my 180sx, by converting it back to RHD, because if you didn't now, it is a legit 180 from Japan, and also bought a phase 1 interior for 600V$ with a digital dash, to do so, I've removed everything and sold my bucket seats and my rollbar for 800V$.

I also installed some 326 power brakes that I bought for 2000v$.

And I reinstalled the stock hood and removed the stickers, because I want the car to look clean, I was a little bit sick the mismatched panels and the stickers.

Oh, and I almost forgot, I bought a set of tires for both of my cars, they were TOYO tyres and the 8 cost me 760V$. And I'm selling my miata but until then, it's going to be my daily driver. If anyone of you want it, just send me a pm, here's the last picture I took of it:

I'm still waiting for the transporter to arrive to take my cars to Japan were Ward aka Jorge will be registering them for me and take them to his shed were i'll be working when I get there.

See ya guys! and sorry for the long ass update

Hey guys! Finally got some spare time to write something here!

So, the Miata is sold, and going to be shipped to the US, and since I didn't had any car, before selling the Miata, I went to Portugal visit my family and take my GS300 to Spain, while I wait for all the paperworks and shits to get done.

Well, since I wanted to work on the GS300, since it was a little bit unloved, I decided to install a wing that I bought from E-bay and painted the wheels Gloss BLAAAAACK, making the car looking totally mean. Also, I got the front plate to the side, making it look like a Evo :))

Well guys, that's all I've got to tell you for now,
SEE YA!

Nah men, the GS is staying. I just wont import it to Japan, because it wouldn't make any sense and I always enjoy having a car in Portugal to hoon in a safe and controlled environment (in some road where no one goes) ;)

Hey guys!
First things first I sold my shed, but I didn't sell my house yet because it's rented and that's why I only will go to Japan in November, so that I don't have to pay so until the end of the contract and the money of the shed will go in there, so it's going to be with me temporarly and I don't want to spend it.

Secondly, I got some work done to my GS300. I found on Facebook a friend that I met back in High School and he has a workshop in Madrid, so I shoot him a message asking if I could have my car in his shed because I wanted to put wheels that I got from Japan and for some next things I want to make to it, but I won't be spoiling nothing ;) . He answered and he even said he had a car that could lent me while the GS300 is getting some work done.

So, this are the wheels that I got to my GS300

Yup, I got some Tom's VP1 18" for 130V$ each and I re-used the tyres that were in the VW Longbeach. BTW, the wheels are for sale: 300V$ + Shipping without tyres.

So, after getting the GS in my friends' shop, I asked him "So what car will you lent me?" and he pointed to this:

A mint 1999 E46 320i that was a car his dad won or something, that's why the plates have BMW on it. It only has 100k km which is pretty low of a car like this.
So, the GS300 will be in his shop while I wait for parts to arrive so that I can make the car better eventhough it's an auto and I'm possibly going to get another project car that will rare as f*ck in Japan, since It's going to me an import from Portugal.

See ya!

Hey guys!
So I finally got some news about my cars that got shipped to Japan, but they're not so good.
So, my cars, after arriving to Japan, they went Jorge aka Ward's house so that I know they are in a safe place. When he told me they arrived, I asked him if they started since the cars were shipped with all their fluids. He told me that they did start but very roughly and they were undriveable because they would die out. So I asked him if he could connect his laptop to the ECU and then I could see what was happening with them via TeamViewer, but he didn't find the ECU's. They were stolen.. I don't know how or where, but they were probably stolen while the car was sitting on a container, unlocked before going to Japan. Too bad that they both are protected by passwords and thank Harambe that I've insured the cars and their extras in case something bad happened to them. So now I've got to get new ones, flash them with the tunes I got backed up in my computer and drive them in Japan.

On a lighter note, I got a Originlab kit for my GS300 from Japan for about 900V$ and another crate with some special parts for the engine that you'll find out next week or so. I got shipped to the shop where the car is sitting and my mate installed them for me and got the old ones sold so he pretty much payed for his own work.
The car is look so sick, take a look

After I get the engine turboed' and forged (SPOILER), I'll be painting the car with the dark gray that is on the skirts because I think it will make the wheels pop out more.

Sorry for the big update,
See ya!

Looks good with that bodykit! But i think you should change the rims for a more aggressive look. I turboed my Mazda too, i'll need you to tune the ECU so that turbo will run at its full potential. ;)

Hello guys, it’s been quite a while (two and a half months).
So, a lot of shit happen in the course of these weeks, and I got a lot of stuff to tell ya so, grab some popcorn while you can.
In the first 2 weeks I’ve been working on my GS300, finishing the build of the engine and twin turbo-charging it. Also, I decided to paint in the same grey colour as the bodykit parts were because I was kinda sick of the silver.

I’ve tuned it and it makes similar power as my Toyota Gita, which was not bad at all.

When I’ve arrived in Japan, the first thing I had to get sorted was my cars’ ECU’s since they were stolen while they were waiting to be shipped to Japan. After that I started buying some parts for my drift project 180SX and they were some gauges to see how the engine was working and also an electronic boost controller from HKS. I got a simple stereo because the stock one didn’t work at all. That was around 500V$.

I also got some Bride seats, Bride interior and D-Max floor mats and that was all 4000V$.

To conclude on the 180SX chapter (for now ;) ), I got the D-Max hood painted the same colour and re-installed it.

The car looks so fucking awesome I don’t have words to express how much I’m enjoying working on this mint 180SX.
Well, when I was waiting on a big shipment of Haltech material, I had to get a car to drive around, because none of them were working, because they had no ECU. So I started searching online for some cars and saw a 1991 Subaru Legacy RS “Turbo” with an N/A EJ20 with 185k km’s for 1500V$ and since I didn’t found anything else and I thought well, this will do the job.
It was a cold night in Osaka and I couldn’t see shit when I went to buy the car but the pictures actually came pretty good. You can see the bumper were all about to fall and dented but I said fuck’em since It drove pretty good and for the price, I couldn’t complain.

So I got it and in the following weekend I bought some colour-match paint, bog, zip-ties and some trims and got the job done and it looks pretty good, for the price (60V$).

I still haven’t took my 180 to a drift event, but that is not a problem in here, since there is a lot of drift tracks nearby, but I need to do a retune since they is fuel with more octanes that in Spain.
Tomorrow, I’ll be flying to Portugal to spend Christmas and New Year ’s Eve with them and have a nice drive on my GS300.
Sorry for the long-ass update but sooner or later, it had to be done.

See ya! Happy Holidays!
