# marcus915 : I LIKE THIS MIATA

Thanks m8 :3

# WoodlandFrosty : Any tips on suspension setups and stuff?

Hmm... From what if seen your Miata should be fine to drift since you have a welded diff.. Maybe try to get some camber on the front. That could help. :)

What happens to your car when you try to drift it WoodlandFrosty? Does it like have body roll, does it just not kick the rear out, or what?

Ohhhhh yessssss... I'm in the final stages of getting the 240 up and running! It may not be complete body wise but I just wanna get to finally drive it.. Just have to get it registered and it's good to go! :D

I've also done some final changes to it. First of all I sold the old steering wheel to WoodlandFrosty for 90$! :)
Because of that I had to get a new one obviously. So I bought a used Nardi Deep Corn wheel for 230$ + 30$ for a boss kit.

I also bought Marcus' used Type X valances for 400$ :P

So.. The next steps are:

    - Get it registered
    - Get a wing (I really wanna get a Type X wing)
    - Get it painted (not gonna tell what color :3)

Finances: 4852$ + 90$ sold steering wheel - 260$ for used wheel and boss kit - 400$ Type X rear valances = 4282$

P.S. I'm still selling some old parts from the 240 and Miata. Look them up on the used car parts shop thread :P

It's amazingly terrifing how fast your life can change..

So as you might have seen I'm very happy with how both of my cars where going. I was very happy about my Miata when I first got it. I always wanted to get one as my first car.. And I've got one. But we already have to say goodbye.

I was just getting home from work when suddenly a friend called me and invited me to a little chilled out evening with some other friends. It was all good we had a good night. But then something happened on the way back home.

There was a guy in a silver metallic E46 comming in way too hot from the right of a t-junction, hitting the front right side of my Miata. Weirdly enough, I haven't felt anything on the impact because everything happened really fast. The last thing I noticed that he was driving away. Hit and run. Sh*t. I called the police and asked them for help. Bad thing is that I haven't seen his plates. I'm basically f*cked tbh. No I haven't got any injuries which is good. But I don't know who f*cked up my car.

This is bad. I don't know what to do with it now. Basically everything in the front except for the engine is destroyed. Had to get it towed to my garage. 42$ for that..

Finances: 4282$ - 42$ tow costs = 4240$

Well.. It would be a cool project.. But I don't know.. I have to "finish up" my 240. And for some reason I would love to get another project car..

Why do all the good cars crash?! (including my Mazda :P)

You got lucky tho, you can still use the engine, and the hood looks intact, so it's not so bad.

(I crashed there once as well, when i didn't know the grass is made out of concrete :)) )

It sucks that your Miata is fucked..I know the feeling of wrecking first cars (quite literally and i said it myself so kys smokiegun/dxg1997).

At least you made it out unharmed, if you need to finish your 240 you could sell the motor for a good amount of money and part out whatever's good on the car and see if you can make a killing on that.

Thanks mates! Only got some slight bruses on my arm and a slight headache. But everything is okay..

And to Marcus. I'm actually gonna do that. Gonna part out everything thats good and either see if it fits on the 240 or sell it. :3

So if anyone is interested in a NA8C that ran about 150.000km you can let me know.

Added 1 hour 10 minutes later:

So... We pulled the Miata into garage and started parted out some stuff.

I'm gonna sell every part of this thing. Except the wheels, brake calipers and the seats. You guys can let me know if you see anything that you need.
Gonna write something on the used parts thread for more infos on the parts.

Not gonna sell the chassis/shell when everything is gone. The chassis is completely bent in the front. Oh well..

Hmm.. I'm still really sad about the Miata.. It was such a great car.. But atleast I could take some of the parts and install them on the 240! :)
So far I only sold the white hardtop to WoodlandFrosty for 525$. And I also installed the red Bride Zetas and the 350z Brembos on the 240.

I also got myself an awesome, genuine Type X wing for 600$.. So much money but it just looks so awesome :3 Bought some stickers for 45$ bucks and made myself a little banner! :)

But now the best thing - I finally got it registered! I'm using the old plates of the Miata so the text on there didn't change. :P

As you can see I went out to "Mexico" again and my friend took some awesome shots again! :P

^The banner that I talked about. It says "Renaruto ~ Low ~ Style" because why not :v

That's it for now. Only thing that I have to do for now is to get it painted. Ayy.

Finances: 4240$ + 525$ sold hardtop to WoodlandFrosty - 600$ Type X Wing - 45$ stickers = 4120$

This is probably the first time where I was really hyped for a monday! :P Because the 240 is finally getting some paint! :)

My friend actually knows a dude with a small paint shop. We asked if it would be okay if we use one of his paint booths and he said yes. So I drove the 240 over there and began to dismantle everything that is gonna get painted. I even took out the engine. Because I wanted to go full-out with this project ;)

So after hours of removing several parts, sanding and priming we could finally paint the engine bay (and the rear just for the lolz) in a really special color - ultra violet. Almost the same color as RWB Furusato :P

Even painted the cylinder head cover :3

So overall this was a really successful day! We even started painting the other body panels but I'm not showing that yet. :P

Finances
: 4120$ + 565$ paycheck - 450$ paint = 4235$

And here it is - the new, finished up paintjob of my 240! ⌒(o^▽^o)ノ (Just needs some stickers :P)

I went for black just so I can go for the style of Koguchi-Sans old 180sx. I just love his 180 sooo much that I had to build mine in a similar way. I mean it doesn't have any Koguchi Power parts but still.. ♡\( ̄▽ ̄)/♡

No pics for todays post - just a quick update.

There was a guy that was coming by buddies garage because he heard of the crash I had with the Miata. He asked if he can buy the whole car even though it's totaled. So he came by my garage and inspected the car. He said he's gonna buy it to make a little track monster out of it. He paid 5.200$ for everything! . He even bought the engine even tho he considered an engine swap.. oh well. :P I also sold the old Koni coils for 800$

Before Marcus' SR20DET arrives from Japan I already removed the old SR20DE and sold it to a friend of mine for 1.800$. He's gonna try to swap it into his E36. :3
I also got rid of all the old part of the 240. Sold the seats to a junkyard, the RB wing to a guy in England and the rear lights + front bumper to a guy in Spain. 350$ for everything.

So this basically means that every one of my offers in the used parts thread is not available anymore. Sorry :3

Finances: 4235$ + 5.200$ sold the Miata + 800$ sold the Koni's + 1.800$ sold the SR20DE + 350$ sold the old 240 parts = 12385$

Oh man.. It has been such a long time since I've posted something on here. There were a lot of things that kept me down and unmotivated (And there still is some stuff I have to get through (yes irl)) but it's getting slightly better.

In the time I was "away" the car didn't change. The only big thing that happened is that Marcus' SR20DET arrived.

The installation was pretty easy since the car came with a SR20 when I bought it. The only other thing is that I changed up the stickers again. That's all. :P

But I think it's finally time for "Phase 2". Even tho I adore how clean and simple it looks right now it just needs some more details...

But I just wanted to give you guys an update on my life and the 240. I'm not dead.. well.. maybe only on the inside :v

Finances: 12385$ + 9170$ Paycheck = 21555$

Welp.. Phase 2 has begun today. The TÜV and the German police already beginning to hate me. :v
I got myself some new fenders. I know this is quite stupid because I just got the Origin rear fenders not long ago. But I was already bored of them. :P

I got myself some original Koguchi Power rear fenders for 300$ and custom wide front fenders for 120$. Installing them was pretty easy. And the new front fenders weigh so much less than the original ones (obviously). I also had to get 30mm and 50mm spacers for another 300$

I'm really pleased with how it looks with the new fenders... Just need to get it to the paint shop again :v

Oh and of course.. more stickers :v

Finances
: 21555$ - 300$ KPower rear fenders - 120$ custom front fenders - 300$ wheel spacers = 20835$
