well, Chris inspired with his work, so heres my try !
Like you see the model is almost finished, so now I'll try to make some cool textures. I want to ask about the wheels tho, because I must model others, since those are to high poly(4.5k per wheel) where whole model have ~3k lol. |

About the wheels, Dont mind those being kinda highpoly lol, a rim usually has complex shapes wich means you will need more poly's. Like my civic. The rims are close to 2k each while the car is just over 3k..

I think its not that hard, since this game is desinged for adding content. LINK
I've done basic texture, so now I can start fighting with racer to get this thin on track |

Yeah, the thing with racer is is that you have to script the materials.
Theres this file in the car folder called car.shd open that with notepad or w/e and you will find the codes. You will also need to make a window texture for the black areas or w/e with a alpha map as an extra channel. My window shader looks like this; Now , this is a simple shader for the windows, there's a way to make cg shaders but I'm still trying to figure that out lol. www.racer.nl has alot of info as well at the documentary section, can't be bothered to tell all the ins and outs |
