Hi
I'm sure you too have noticed there is problem with (mostly polish) spam frequently posted in forums sections. Scheme is always the same, new accout is created and then in random section new topic is created with post about illegal passport dealers, marihuana sale or other questionable stuff. Message usually contains link to website. Why it happens? VStanced is great tool for people who positioning their websites in web search engines (Google for example). Registration is quick, they can post anything and search indexing is turn on. That means it's easy to post there some stuff that will be found by search engines bot and the linked website will receive one more reference, making it more valuable and positioned higher in search results. How to solve it? I see easy ways: 1. Add time delay after user registration until he can post anything. Few hours might be enough. If you see recent spam post you can notice that user have registrar and then 3 minutes later posted his spam. I can bet you there will be no action from this account any more. 2. Add multi-answer test checking if new user have read RULES section as part of registration process. Spending five minutes on answering questions will make spammers just skip to next forum. Please do something about this. |

I like the time-delayed idea. I would vote that one.
