Soooo moved from the US to Japan a few months back as a College Student. Living in Tokyo aint bad I suppose...
Nah we aint doing that boys.. I'm actually just a normal Japanese Kid who has recently started as a trainee in a local mechanics shop.. It's gonna be fun trying to find good events in Hokkaido.. Anyone up near here hmu.. I should have started with my name but guess not.. Daisuke (大輔) is my Japanese name but I decided to Americanize my name for others who cant be bothered to say my Japanese name.. So if you want call me Ryan... or Daisuke.. Your choice.. However both of my grandparents passed leaving me some inheritance money.. Both sides of my grandparents I should add.. So I came out with around $20,000 or ¥2,269,980.. I started to look around for something RWD.. Decent tuning capacity and a good platform to build on with a huge parts availability. I found a 99' ER34 GTT in Lightning Yellow... unsure if it was sprayed or an OEM colour for the GTT.. The Chassis seems pretty strong, cant find any bad spots of Rust or any corrosion in General.. Some lacquer peel in small places.. Overall pretty good find.. I did forget to mention the price which was a fair $13,554.. The R32 GTR wheels are good looking too, just need a lower profile tyre.. Well until next time.. Peace Finances: $20,000 - $13,554 = $6,446 |

# Smurf : Love that color man, i don't think i've ever seen one that color. Thanks man! Honestly didn’t know if it was the OEM colour, but judging from the way it is and the condition it must be. I’m gonna check the Manufacturer Plate and look for the magic letters “EV1” |

My plans are to keep OEM bumpers, go wider fenders and squeeze some more power. Enough for a reliable drift beater I suppose

# R G T : My plans are to keep OEM bumpers, go wider fenders and squeeze some more power. Enough for a reliable drift beater I supposeAn r34 for a Drift beater? I suggest u to get a 180SX, N/A FC3S, S14, Altezza or something like that, something cheap as a drift beater, so you can practice drifting without fear of destroying it , because practicing you will destroy the car, and it is better to destroy a cheap car, than an 14k r34 Check yahoo auctions or THIS AUCTION SITE, maybe you can find some cheap already modified drift beater By the way , if u want to meet up or modify your r34 hmu , and i can do the job in my workshop or in the workshop that i'm working, so hmu when u need something or if you want to meet up This post was edited by Franklin (2018-12-03 14:39, ago) |

# Kokainum : KA engines werent sold in japan240's were built in japan and shipped to USA btw i was meaning S13'S , and that video was explaining ka engines , don't mind the s14 but okay, fixed. Peace Added 3 minutes later: # R G T : I would have bought an S13, but for some reason in Hokkaido, Sapporo area there isn’t that many for sale . So I took what I could get without hassle You chose a very good car! If you want to do a drift car with thar 34 do it, but as a practice car I would not use it, I've been with my R32 for a long time, I was afraid to even make donuts in a parking lot, because I took care of it at a level that is not normal, and I had a lot of fear of entering ebisu to practice, so I recommend that you go to that auction site and see if anything that is in auction is in budget and that you are not afraid of hitting it against a wall while you are practicing, and at the same time you look at interesting cars that are in auction, |

Maybe they will sell it to you Also i have contacts to there for find some cheap drift slut Maybe a Aristo, Laurel, Mark 2 or something like that, for practicing control with a big car, later of that you will control almost any car with little practice... I will hit your dm if i find something, peace Edit : Check dm This post was edited by Franklin (2018-12-03 18:37, ago) |

Been a while i guess?..
A friend of mine who came here as a Foreign Exchange Student recently visited and offered me to go to the UK with him and stay for a week or so experiencing the culture over there. Well i excitedly took that offer. Now i landed maybe a day ago? (Jet Lag is killing me) We already have found a meet to go to. A pretty big meet i must say tbh. Luckily i have a car while im here.. It's pretty different to rickety old jap crap lmao.. Soo it's a 2004 Seat Leon Cupra R MK1 225. I must admit the 1.8 20 Valve Turbo is amazing to say its only a 4 banger. 225hp is fairly good to say the age of it nowadays. I researched the engine slightly and there is so many variations of it that i got so confused, i eventually figured out that this is the BAM engined 1.8T. Either way its nice and tbh its suitably modified. Excuse the fact it has no plates, we took em off for the pics since he does do some kinda hoodlum activity in it. *OOC its actually because the mod has somewhat clapped plate slots which i dont wanna fix atm lmao* Soo expect some pics soon! Peace out boyz |

Thanks man! The R34 hasnt been touched or driven really recently. Ive been trying to save up money to start modifying it. I would love to bring the Leon with me back to Japan but i doubt it would be cheap haha, but tbh a 1.4 doesnt seem too bad for a young driver, i would hate it but still reliability and what not lmao.. Ill try to come down that end sometime would be nice to see Osaka in the flesh!

Remember??
Soo ive spent a bit in my friends Cupra and its made me want one really bad.. Noooow he has a friend who owns a Lemon Yellow TDi Cupra R replica
It's pretty nice and ive heard good things about the PD130 engine.. It is however all about the costs of importing to Japan etc.. Now he said he will take $4000 for the car since it is fairly modified. FMIC, Coils blah blah.. The import costs should be around $3000 - $4000 total. So i have the cash and have lived in Japan all my life, so getting the permission is easy, so i decided to buy the car and import it. Now im already heading back to Japan but i did go to a meet and i have some pictures of it, expect that soon haha.. It's gonna be hard to get power from this car however, since its diesel and from what ive heard, Japanese Tuners dont really touch these cars. Guess i have to find out! Finances: Plane - paid for by my friend Cupra TDi Rep - $4000 Import etc - $4000 Total = $8000 |

# TheAxirPL : holy moly a diesel ? Yeah man it's a Diesel, 1.9 Turbo Diesel with Direct Injection. ASZ is a legendary engine, pretty much Bombproof too! The Leon is also a great platform to build on, especially with it being similar to Golf etc. Should be a fun build haha! |

Interesting choice! Seems funny that importing costs the same as the car but it might be something special in Japan. I wouldn't pick the diesel but the TDI in particular is quite reliable so you're good.

The importation costs are just an estimate from what I’ve found as of right now. More than likely it’s going to change. However $4000 is the price of importation and import duty tax. I still have insurance and a few other things to sort out considering it’s diesel it might be difficult. Glad it’s reliable though!

Once it arrives ill probably get a Hybrid Turbo, Injectors, FMIC and a few other supporting mods then come see you haha.. It'll eventually see a full Cupra R conversion so the non body colour bump strips are fine |
