Hey, I've started to learn how to make mods, I'm still learning (Only started the other day) anyways this is all I've done.
Thats my first rim in game, I might return to it later and sort out the chrome lip (Didn't appear in gamee, but first model+mod I was happy) I quickly put together a steel rim, tried out the chrome on it (Got it to work!) Now to try and get it paintable, also this is a smaller size too I'd like to try an engine block very soon, I have a few reference pictures of the one I want to do so maybe I'll start doing that. |

You made it manually or using rpk creator? It's important to do it manually since you wanna continued with a car next
Quick progress btw |

I guess I used RPK creator, I'm not sure how you could do it manually? I'm still very very new to all these scriptings and everything haha

good work, but learn the rpk manually - if you dont it'll soon catch up to you and rims will be the only thing you'll ever do rpk creator only works for rims/wings etc but not cars/engine.

So I've started modelling the body for the car (Ford Model A Tudor 1928) and the inner of the shell's arch won't appear in the render? Any reason why? It's a plane that I've curved to fit the side of the shell Lol nevermind fixed it, made my material double sided now it appears Added 5 hours 53 minutes later: Started doing a Model A Tudor, idk how does it look? Do you think it'd be a good idea to put a super simple car together and placing it in SLRR to improve my skill in scripting and understanding it, and also see if I can improve handling? Added 4 days later: Okay guys I have a chassis ready to put in the game, how would I script it? There isn't a tutorial that tells me how to do it or teaches me it? Any help please guys This post was edited by JoviBlue (2013-02-08 04:24, ago) |

dont rush the only advice i can give you you cant go from 0 to hero in slrr modding! there are a lot of tuts and you should first look at my rim tut and when you manage to at least put 20 or so rims manually in game on your own without rpk creator so you know how rpk is structured(talking about single rpk so it does get a bit messy)
seriously don't rush.. you wont get anywhere - we have seen a lot of guys come and go like this and guys that take it slow and learn stuff learn to be proper modders. This post was edited by Jesus Christ (2013-02-08 09:41, ago) |
