This is just a little texture edit,that we made for slrr,thanks to Bigg Boss93 who told me that.
-Put texture folder in your slrr root folder/cars,and replace old ones.
-This edit contains two versions.1024x1024 and 1280x1280.Reason for this is,becouse slower PC's can lag a bit with high resolution textures.
***You will need to make new carrier,it doesen't work on cars bought before this mod!***
-DON'T FORGET TO MAKE BACKUP

it will sure as hell work on my cars I had this applied for ages... but it won't work on every car.
this will very much depend on mapping, so imagine this, stock SLR textures are 256x256 if I'm not mistaken.. now lets say 50x120 of those pixels are mapped to front of the bumper.. if you paint, the sticker will only be applied to those pixels where the bumper is mapped.
now if you increase the paint texture 10x times it will obviously have more pixels for the bumpers UVW = higher resolution texture in game.
but if the bumper is not mapped properly to maximize the use of the UVW box/map then it will still look shit.. I 90% of the time map my parts so I can maximize the use of the UVW map that's why my e28 for e.g. will have this working fine.
if that makes sense...?

Keejay - try before and after you'll see the difference.
There's only so much we can do, feel free to increase the textures to 2048x2048 but that will lag your game when painting, crashing etc
it's a limit of SLR, you can improve it to a certain extent but not too much.
on that note on e28 you've tested on chassis, which is a massive map = bigger the map, lower the resolution due to lack space/pixels to fit the map to.
something like a HOOD would be a good test, or a door, or a bumper.

Well. It totally have no sense... With 1280x1280 map I have worse quality decals (made in-game) than on 512 (made in PhotoShop)...

if you want best quality, you can set it to 2048x2048, it doesn't crash afaik.

i haven't noticed any fps drop when i set all textures to 2048 on JC E92, but it lags a bit when updating it, i.e. painting or crashing to a wall(scratching paint).

I have a mid custom PC and the game lags like hell when doing basically anything. The game works just perfect when those textures were 256x256.
(I can provide my PC spec if you want to see the problem)

So.. i replaced the files in the cars/textures folder. but the decals don't seem to work.
Maybe i should try updating the custom decal i already made.
